Week 12 Takeaways from Sunday NFL Action<\/h2>\n

Dallas Cowboys<\/strong><\/a> – The Cowboys come back from 21 down to beat the Eagles on a Brandon Aubrey game-winning field goal as the clock strikes zero. George Pickens continues to thrive in his new digs<\/a> and racked up nearly 150 receiving yards and a touchdown to help keep Dallas in the mix for a Wild Card spot.<\/p>\n

Philadelphia Eagles<\/strong><\/a> – Philly let one slip away in a division road game against Dallas. Two lost fumbles and a missed field goal in the fourth quarter contributed to the loss in a scoreless second half. The Eagles are still in control of the division, but they hope this will not come back to bite them later.<\/p>\n

New York Giants<\/strong><\/a> – We got a classic Jameis Winston game where he threw for over 300 yards, threw two touchdowns, and caught a touchdown. However, it was not enough as the Giants fell to the Lions in overtime 34-27.<\/p>\n

New England Patriots<\/strong><\/a> – The Pats stave off the Bengals 26-20 to grab the league\u2019s best record at 10-2 and grow their division lead over the Bills. With this win, New England stays undefeated on the road at 6-0.<\/p>\n

Buffalo Bills<\/strong><\/a> – Josh Allen hero ball did not work this time around for the Bills. Allen gets sacked eight times and throws two picks as Buffalo loses to Houston on Thursday Night Football 23-19.<\/p>\n

New York Jets<\/strong><\/a> – The Jets had the lead at halftime against the Ravens, but could not stop Baltimore in the second half. A Breece Hall fumble sealed their fate, and they lost 23-10.<\/p>\n

Chicago Bears<\/strong><\/a> – Chicago holds off the Steelers to win their eighth game out of their last nine contests. The Bears hold onto their division lead with just a handful of games left in the regular season.<\/p>\n

Green Bay Packers<\/strong><\/a> – Emanuel Wilson steps in for Josh Jacobs nicely as Wilson rushes for over 100 yards and two touchdowns. The Packer defense racks up five sacks and forces three turnovers in a 23-6 blowout of the Vikings.<\/p>\n

Detroit Lions<\/strong><\/a> – Jahmyr Gibbs goes absolutely wild with over 260 total yards and three touchdowns as the Lions come back to defeat the Giants in overtime. Detroit keeps pace just one game behind the Bears for the division lead.<\/p>\n

Minnesota Vikings<\/strong><\/a> – The Vikings\u2019 season is slowly slipping away as they suffer another loss, this time against the Packers, to fall to 4-7. QB J.J. McCarthy throws for just 87 yards and two interceptions, and it makes you wonder if HC Kevin O\u2019Connell will make a change.<\/p>\n

Pittsburgh Steelers<\/strong><\/a> – With no Aaron Rodgers, the Steelers still almost pulled off a win against the surging Bears, but they came up short by a score of 31-28. With the loss, Pittsburgh relinquished the division lead to Baltimore.<\/p>\n

Baltimore Ravens<\/strong><\/a> – The Ravens turned it on in the second half to take care of the Jets for their fifth-straight win. Derrick Henry rushes for two touchdowns, and Baltimore takes control of the AFC North with the Steelers’ loss.<\/p>\n

Cleveland Browns<\/strong><\/a> – Shedeur Sanders gets a win over the Raiders 24-10 in his first career start. Sanders got plenty of help from the defense as they sacked Geno Smith 10 times and forced a fumble.<\/p>\n

Cincinnati Bengals<\/strong><\/a> – We have to wait another week for Joe Burrow\u2019s imminent return, but without Burrow, Ja\u2019Marr Chase, and losing Tee Higgins in-game, the Bengals came up short against the Patriots. The Bengals\u2019 season now hangs in the balance with a 3-8 record.<\/p>\n

Los Angeles Rams<\/strong><\/a> – The Rams annihilated Tampa Bay on Sunday night, 34-7. Matthew Stafford and Davante Adams link up for another two touchdowns, and the Rams stand alone atop the NFC at 9-2.<\/p>\n

Seattle Seahawks<\/strong><\/a> – Seattle took care of business against the Titans, but the score suggests a closer game. Jaxon Smith-Njigba adds another 167 receiving yards and two touchdowns to his incredible season, and the Seahawks sit at 8-3.<\/p>\n

Arizona Cardinals<\/strong><\/a> – The Cardinals could not take advantage of four Jaguar turnovers and lost 27-24 in overtime. Michael Wilson put up more insane numbers with 10 catches for 118 yards in the loss. How big will his role be when Marvin Harrison Jr. returns?<\/p>\n

Kansas City Chiefs<\/strong><\/a> – The Chiefs get a massive comeback victory over the Colts in overtime. Despite losing the turnover battle, Patrick Mahomes made the necessary plays to get Kansas City to 6-5 to stay in the playoff hunt.<\/p>\n

Las Vegas Raiders<\/strong><\/a> – Losing to the Browns is not good, but losing to the Browns with their third-string quarterback at the helm is even worse. Giving up 10 sacks is not good either. Raiders fall to 2-9.<\/p>\n

Atlanta Falcons<\/strong><\/a> – Kirk Cousins throws for almost 200 yards and two touchdowns as Atlanta defeats the Saints 24-10 to keep their season alive at 4-7.<\/p>\n

New Orleans Saints<\/strong><\/a> – The Saints\u2019 lone touchdown today was scored by the defense. QB Tyler Shough had a decent outing completing 30 passes for 243 yards, but not much else to celebrate for the 2-9 Saints.<\/p>\n

Tampa Bay Buccaneers<\/strong><\/a> – The Bucs lose big to the Rams and also lose Baker Mayfield to a shoulder injury, leaving the door open for Carolina to potentially win the NFC South. The report on Mayfield this week could change everything for Tampa down the stretch.<\/p>\n

Indianapolis Colts<\/strong><\/a> – The Colts got coy in the second half as they blew a halftime lead and lost in overtime. The AFC South got tighter this week with Indy still having to play Houston and Jacksonville twice each before the end of the regular season.<\/p>\n

Jacksonville Jaguars<\/strong><\/a> – The Jags turn the ball over four times, but grab an overtime win over Arizona. Jacksonville gains a game on Indianapolis for the division lead, with lots of division football to be played.<\/p>\n

Tennessee Titans<\/strong><\/a> – Tennessee showed some fight in the second half, but the damage was done as the Titans lost to Seattle 30-24. The Titans fall to 1-10 and stay in possession of the first overall pick of next year\u2019s draft.<\/p>\n

Houston Texans<\/strong><\/a> – Davis Mills guides the Texans to yet another win and closes the gap for the division lead. The Texans defense sacked Bills QB Josh Allen eight times and picked him off twice in a narrow 23-19 win.<\/p>\n
