While the Baltimore Ravens are having a comeback this 2025 season despite the 1-5 start, the team could lose top free agent, Travis Jones once free agency comes around in March. Many people within the league believe<\/a> that Jones could have a market from other teams, as they view him as the “top” defensive tackle option. Jones is having himself a resurgent campaign, and with his next contract being his second one, it’s no wonder that he will likely receive plenty of interest to join another team. The price tag for the Ravens at $25.6 million is too steep, so this could force Baltimore to either lowball him or let him walk in free agency, which the latter is likely the route they will go.<\/p>\n

Top Ravens Impending Free Agent Travis Jones Could Receive Significant Interest in 2026 – 3 Potential Next Teams<\/h2>\n

However, Jones isn’t the most perfect run-stuffer in the NFL. Through 58 games, he only recorded five sacks and 13 tackles for loss, so interesting to see that one NFC executive gave him high praise<\/a> despite the lack of production in his first three seasons. While he doesn’t blow up the stat sheet, Jones still does the dirty work for a team that needs it.<\/p>\n

This means that since the Ravens lost Nnamdi Madubuike<\/a> to a season-ending injury, Jones emerged as a reliable replacement threat. The expectation was that Baltimore would extend both Jones and Madubuike after the 2025 season, but the latest injury may offset the plans. With that, Jones’ presence forces offensive lines to double, and that may intrigue these three suitors.<\/p>\n

1. Los Angeles Chargers<\/h3>\n

If anyone can bring out the best in a run-stuffer, it’s defensive coordinator Jesse Minter and this explosive line. The Los Angeles Chargers are in the thick of a playoff race, but they haven’t found their long-term solution down the middle since they lost Poona Ford last offseason<\/a>. While Teair Tart got some help from Da’Shawn Hand on the edge, it’s not enough to compensate for the depth of the defensive tackle unit. It won’t be the first time that a former Raven joins the Chargers.<\/p>\n

Before the trade deadline, Odafe Oweh<\/a> joined Los Angeles in a trade in exchange for safety Alohi Gilman. Jones could be the latest former Raven to find success with Jim Harbaugh, who slowly wants to develop a physical trench unit.<\/p>\n

2. Carolina Panthers<\/h3>\n

The Carolina Panthers are having a resurgent 2025 season, coming off back-to-back abysmal years. While Bryce Young is having success, the defense is doing their work as well. After signing Tershawn Wharton<\/a> and Tre’von Moehrig, the Panthers’ defense has been strengthened to hold down their own weight. The expectation is that the Panthers will continue to rebuild their defense, and Jones could cash in Carolina. They’re developing somewhat an underrated defensive line between Wharton, Bobby Brown and Derrick Brown, so Jones may fit in that system.<\/p>\n

3. New England Patriots<\/h3>\n

The Patriots are seemingly in their own “Tom Brady Era” again with Drake Maye<\/a> under center. With that in mind, the team has enough cap space this upcoming offseason to splurge. This means the potential fit for Jones could be in New England and pair with one of the most dangerous lines that already has Milton Williams and Christian Barmore.<\/p>\n
