The results from all players are collated, and an average letter grade is assigned for each category.

In its third year, 1,695 players responded to the survey, equating to roughly 77% of all players in the league, which makes it quite representative and a decent indicator of how teams are performing behind the scenes.

The Report Cards have come in for criticism from NFL owners, most notably New York Jets owner Woody Johnson, with the league filing a grievance against the NFLPA, requesting that the union stop them.

However, for the Miami Dolphins, they should be looked on favorably as the team once again comes out on top in the eyes of its players.

Miami Dolphins Rank Highest According to Players

The Miami Dolphins ranked first overall in 2024, with high grades in all categories. In 2025, the Dolphins have retained their place at the top, with players grading the team no lower than ‘A’ in every category.

The Dolphins were graded ‘A+’ in multiple categories in the 2025 report, including Ownership, Head Coach, Team Travel, Strength Coaches, and Locker Room.

This shows that the players feel genuinely connected to their teammates, with a positive atmosphere in the locker room, while having a strong faith in head coach Mike McDaniel and even Stephen Ross, who has been the owner of the team since 2009.

While some owners are opposed to the report cards, with the aforementioned Johnson graded at an F by his team’s players in this year’s report, many players and former players have been outspoken in their support for them.

Miami Dolphins Proactive in Improving

Former Miami Dolphins long snapper Blake Ferguson weighed in on the situation, giving a clear example of how the report cards led to a positive change from the team with regard to the game-day experience of family members.

Air-conditioned rooms, a day care, and even a dedicated member of staff were implemented as a result of the report cards, showing that Ross takes note of what his players are saying and has been proactive in improving the experience for them.

As a result, the Dolphins have been graded ‘A’ in the Treatment of Families category.

On the whole, the Dolphins present as a well-run organization, regardless of the on-field results of late, and should be an attractive destination for players in the future.

If players put such high stock in the report cards, it can go a long way to aiding the team when it comes to situations such as free agency, where the team is hoping to attract more top talent to help strengthen the roster.

Main Photo Credit: Rich Storry-Imagn Images

The NFLPA has released its third-annual report card on teams around the league, and once again, the Miami Dolphins come out glowingly.
