Lamar Jackson was outstanding\u2014225 yards and four touchdowns\u2014but the Ravens didn\u2019t dominate the trenches. Remove the Ravens\u2019 14 from turnovers and the Jets\u2019 14 from special teams, and the adjusted <strong data-start=\"3237\" data-end=\"3249\">20.6 ppg<\/strong> allowed puts them even with the 8\u20132 Colts.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3294\" data-end=\"3452\">This is an <strong data-start=\"3305\" data-end=\"3346\">elite defensive unit being squandered<\/strong>. With even a middle-of-the-pack offense, their record would look like Indianapolis or New England at 8\u20132.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"3454\" data-end=\"3457\" \/>\n<h2 data-start=\"3459\" data-end=\"3476\"><strong data-start=\"3462\" data-end=\"3476\">Star Power<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"3477\" data-end=\"3715\">Myles Garrett remains the best defensive player in football, but Cleveland is stacked elsewhere: DT Maliek Collins, CB Denzel Ward, S <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/player\/_\/id\/4242208\/grant-delpit\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Grant Delpit<\/a>, and DROY frontrunner MLB Carson Schwesinger are all playing at All-Pro or Pro Bowl levels.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"3717\" data-end=\"3758\"><strong data-start=\"3721\" data-end=\"3758\">Garrett vs. Lamar: A Real Rivalry<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"3759\" data-end=\"3931\">Garrett has been uniquely effective against Lamar Jackson:<br data-start=\"3817\" data-end=\"3820\" \/>\u2022 <strong data-start=\"3822\" data-end=\"3835\">8.5 sacks<\/strong> on Lamar in career meetings<br data-start=\"3863\" data-end=\"3866\" \/>\u2022 <strong data-start=\"3868\" data-end=\"3881\">1.5 sacks<\/strong> in Week 2<br data-start=\"3891\" data-end=\"3894\" \/>\u2022 <strong data-start=\"3896\" data-end=\"3908\">10 total<\/strong> sacks vs. the Ravens<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3933\" data-end=\"4130\">Even while calling Lamar the toughest QB in the league to sack, Garrett keeps finding him. Cleveland can generate pressure with four while maintaining rush-lane discipline\u2014critical in this matchup.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"4132\" data-end=\"4135\" \/>\n<h2 data-start=\"4137\" data-end=\"4192\"><strong data-start=\"4140\" data-end=\"4192\">The Gabriel Problem \u2014 and Why Delay Is Pointless<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"4193\" data-end=\"4285\"><a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2025\/03\/05\/2025-nfl-draft-scouting-report-dillon-gabriel-oregon\/\" target=\"_self\">Dillon Gabriel<\/a> hasn\u2019t shown \u201crookie inconsistency.\u201d He\u2019s shown <strong data-start=\"4256\" data-end=\"4284\">historic ineffectiveness<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4287\" data-end=\"4480\">He stares down the line of scrimmage, drifts into pressure, and sprays high balls or one-hoppers. This is collapse, not development.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"5105\" data-end=\"5108\" \/>\n<h2 data-start=\"5110\" data-end=\"5146\"><strong data-start=\"5113\" data-end=\"5146\">Why Shedeur Sanders Must Play<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"5147\" data-end=\"5312\">Sanders brings timing, anticipation, and the ability to attack single coverage. He gives Cleveland a pathway to explosive plays\u2014something Gabriel cannot manufacture.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"5314\" data-end=\"5475\">Starting him only if Gabriel gets hurt is coaching malpractice.<br data-start=\"5377\" data-end=\"5380\" \/>There will be <strong data-start=\"5394\" data-end=\"5430\">seven games left after this week<\/strong>\u2014enough to find out if Sanders is the future.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"5477\" data-end=\"5523\"><strong data-start=\"5477\" data-end=\"5523\">Start Shedeur on purpose, not by accident.<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"5525\" data-end=\"5528\" \/>\n<h2 data-start=\"5530\" data-end=\"5573\"><strong data-start=\"5533\" data-end=\"5573\">Special Teams: Harbaugh vs. Ventrone<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"5574\" data-end=\"5655\">Baltimore is annually polished in the third phase.
