The season continues to get worse as the Jacksonville Jaguars will lose rookie wide receiver Travis Hunter for the rest of the season due to a knee injury. According to several reports<\/a>, Hunter received surgery on Tuesday to repair a lateral collateral ligament in his knee, which will keep him out of action for at least six months of football activities. The expectation was that the wide receiver wasn’t going to return anytime soon since being placed on IR during Halloween, but now the Jaguars will have to wait until next season to make his second-year return. With that, the Jaguars should be in the market for a receiver if they want to boost their chances for an AFC wild-card spot at 5-4.<\/p>\n

Jaguars Could Sign Odell Beckham Jr. After Travis Hunter Injury News – 3 Other Suitors Could Emerge<\/h2>\n

Former New York Giant veteran Odell Beckham Jr. might be the answer to the woes of the offensive pass attack for quarterback Trevor Lawrence. While they were able to trade for Jakobi Meyers before the deadline, it can’t compensate for the production Brian Thomas Jr.<\/a> is having this season. After dropping five passes this year alone, the team needs depth if it wants to see Meyers and Thomas succeed as a duo. Jacksonville looked like a legitimate contender since their Week 5 statement win over Kansas City, but it hasn’t been a disappointing follow-up for the Jaguars.<\/p>\n

Beckham Jr. is still in contact with several teams across the league and could soon sign with a contender right before the postseason in January.<\/p>\n

1. Dallas Cowboys<\/h3>\n

Nobody should count out the Dallas Cowboys just yet. The team might be 3-5-1, but they could sneak themselves into a wild-card spot if Minnesota, Green Bay, Carolina and several other potential wild-card teams continue to lose. It’s a long shot for Dallas, but it’s not impossible for this Cowboys offense that’s been on fire and consistent between CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens<\/a>. Beckham Jr. is easily the best option given his experience as a WR3 over Ryan Flournoy and Jalen Tolbert.<\/p>\n

Beckham won’t light up the field anymore due to his age, but he could be the icing on the cake for this offense.<\/p>\n

2. Baltimore Ravens<\/h3>\n

After having a 1-5 start, the Baltimore Ravens are serious about making a strong case to bid themselves in the wild-card round.<\/a> The Ravens also have one of the best offenses, but in the AFC between Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman and DeAndre Hopkins<\/a>. Even though they have their veteran presence, it wouldn’t be shocking if the Ravens entertain the idea of signing Beckham again for one last run. He had a solid one-year tenure in 2023 before mutually agreeing to be released from Miami in 2024, so he could cap off his career in Baltimore.<\/p>\n

3. Pittsburgh Steelers<\/h3>\n

While Aaron Rodgers has been struggling the past two weeks in losses to the Packers and Chargers, it’s hard to imagine that any of it is his fault. The Steelers failed to acquire Jakobi Meyers after making a similar offer that Jacksonville did, but decided to join the Jaguars instead. Pittsburgh needs another type of receiver help at this stage, and if they want to see DK Metcalf<\/a> continue to shred opposing defenses, they should sign Beckham to a low-stakes deal and open up the field between Roman Wilson and Calvin Austin.<\/p>\n
