Following the firing of now-former head coach Brian Daboll, the New York Giants will embrace the rebuild, and this could come at the expense of wide receiver Jalin Hyatt. According to the breaking news<\/a>, the Giants are moving on from Daboll after having one of the worst seasons as a coach in his career. Despite benching Russell Wilson in favor of rookie Jaxson Dart, the team hasn’t been able to finish multiple games, including losses to the Denver Broncos and Chicago Bears. Dart will now get a fresh start, but he will have to wait until next year to fully embrace that, while interim coach Mike Kafka will take over duties for the remainder of the 2025 season.<\/p>\n

Breaking: Brian Daboll Firing May Tease a Jalin Hyatt Trade After 2025 Season<\/h2>\n

With Dart as their future signal-caller once he comes back from his concussion injury, the Giants will need to stabilize their receiver core group. After giving Darius Slayton<\/a> a three-year contract and Hyatt entering the final season of his contract, the team may entertain the idea of a trade. As of this posting, it’s still early to predict what may happen, but whoever becomes the permanent head coach next season will want to instill their own philosophy. Hyatt has been a part of trade rumors either way, and these teams could make a strong push for the young receiver.<\/p>\n

1. Kansas City Chiefs<\/h3>\n

The 2025 campaign for the Kansas City Chiefs hasn’t been in their favor. Still at 5-4 and the recent losses to the Bills and Chargers, they’re still in a thick playoff race. The Chiefs may look better than their record shows, but there are several veterans who are slowing down. Patrick Mahomes is getting older as well, so this means the Chiefs are better off getting him a fresh new wide receiver this upcoming offseason.<\/p>\n

While they did draft Jalen Royals last offseason, it hasn’t compensated for how this receiver core group has been playing. As long as Xavier Worthy and Rashee Rice<\/a> can stay out of trouble and remain healthy, the Chiefs should trade for Hyatt to stabilize their unit while Royals is developing as a WR4.<\/p>\n

2. Pittsburgh Steelers<\/h3>\n

Barring any circumstances of a retirement for Aaron Rodgers, the veteran should come back for one more season next year. Despite losing in a blowout against the Chargers<\/a>, the Steelers failed to make a trade for Jakoki Meyers before the deadline, and he joined the Jaguars. If Rodgers returns, the team has to trade for a receiver in the offseason to retool the starting wide receiver unit that contains DK Metcalf, Calvin Austin and Roman Wilson. Hyatt could turn into a true WR2 if given the right situation.<\/p>\n

3. Las Vegas Raiders<\/h3>\n

The Pete Carroll and Geno Smith experiment has been a failure so far, but the team needs season-changing weapons if they want to make a legitimate run next season. Tre Tucker<\/a> and Dont’e Thornton Jr. are the future of this receiving corps, but they need to make a huge splash at the receiver group to give Smith another fiery weapon. Hyatt might not be the most explosive, but it gives him another receiver to develop chemistry with and hopefully turn into a full-time starter.<\/p>\n
