It’s that time of the week when we look at which defenses stepped up and which others fell after week 8 in the NFL. That means we could have some new teams on this list, so let’s get to this week’s top 10 defenses in the NFL power rankings. Have a great day, everyone, and may the tackles be with you.<\/p>\n

Top 20 Defenses in the Week 10 NFL Power Rankings<\/h2>\n

1. Houston Texans – 267.4 Total Yards Against:<\/h4>\n

The Texans<\/a> are the number one defense this week after a solid game against the Broncos. This week, they have the Jaguars coming to town, which should be a game they should win.<\/p>\n

2. Cleveland Browns – 276.9 Total Yards Against:<\/h4>\n

The Browns<\/a> defense continued to be the shining light in Cleveland. Before the bye, they put up 30 points to the Patriots, but also sacked Drake Maye six times.<\/p>\n

3. Denver Broncos – 279.9 Total Yards Against:<\/h4>\n

The Broncos<\/a> had a Fresno battle against the Texans in which they held them to 15 points while recording four sacks. This week, they get the incumbent Raiders, which should shape up to be another trench war again.<\/p>\n

4. Atlanta Falcons – 282.5 Total Yards Against:<\/h4>\n

No one expected the Falcons<\/a> defense to be solid, but here we are with them sitting at the fourth spot. This week, they’ll have their hands full with Jonathan Taylor and the Colts when they travel to Indianapolis.<\/p>\n

5. Green Bay Packers – 286.4 Total Yards Against:<\/h4>\n

The Packers<\/a> are the fifth-ranked defense, and it’s because the whole team is solid. From points against to sacks, they always seem to find the right flow defensively. However, this week they have the Eagles coming to Green Bay, who could drop them down a spot or two if they can’t catch Jalen Hurts.<\/p>\n

6. Los Angeles Chargers – 286.8 Total Yards Against:<\/h4>\n

The Chargers have simply put a bend and don’t break defense together in Los Angeles. This week, the Steelers are coming to town, which should be another low-scoring game, keeping the Chargers around this spot after week 10.<\/p>\n

7. Kansas City Chiefs – 291.8 Total Yards Against:<\/h4>\n

The Chiefs<\/a> defense has come on like a bat out of hell, even after losing to the Bills. They’re on a bye this week and will be facing the Broncos in week 11 when they get back on the field.<\/p>\n

8. Detroit Lions – 294.8 Total Yards Against:<\/h4>\n

The Lions<\/a> know they need to kick it up on defense after giving up 27 points and Jared Goff being sacked five times. This week, they’ll be facing the Commanders, who are without starting quarterback Jayden Daniels.<\/p>\n

9. New England Patriots – 299 Total Yards Against:<\/h4>\n

As I have said all year, the Patriots<\/a> were going to be one of the sneakiest defenses all year. However, this week, the Buccaneers are in the menu who have an offense that could drop them out of the top 10.<\/p>\n

10. Los Angeles Rams – 302.9 Total Yards Against:<\/h4>\n

The Rams<\/a> came into the year with everyone thinking they were going to be a terrible defense. However, things have worked out for them so far but with games against the Niners and the Seahawks coming in the next two weeks, you can expect them to shine once again.<\/p>\n

11. Seattle Seahawks – 303.9 Total Yards Against:<\/h4>\n

Speaking of the Seahawks<\/a>, their defense has been amazing only allowing 39 total points, 14 sacks, and three turnovers. This week they have a divisional game against the Cardinals in which us Rams fans will be watching and rooting against them. \u201cWink\u201d<\/p>\n

12. Buffalo Bills – 311.3 Total Yards Against:<\/h4>\n

The Bills<\/a> had a tough task against the Chiefs last week, who are on a roll offensively. This week, they’ll be in Miami to stomp the Dolphins and enjoy the sun in what should be another Bills win.<\/p>\n

13. Carolina Panthers – 316.6 Total Yards Against:<\/h4>\n

The Panthers<\/a> defense goes up and down each week. This week, they shouldn’t have a problem with the Saints since their team is rarely consistent at best.<\/p>\n

14. Minnesota Vikings – 316.8 Total Yards Against:<\/h4>\n

Even after giving up 83 points in the past three weeks, the Vikings<\/a> are still in the top half of the league for defense. This week, they’ll have a giant task on hand in slowing down Lamar Jackson and the Ravens.<\/p>\n

15. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – 321.4 Total Yards Against:<\/h4>\n

The Buccaneers<\/a> find themselves in a lot of high-scoring games, but they still find a way to be relevant defensively. Before their bye week, the Buccaneers annihilated the Saints, which earned them some free time to rest as well.<\/p>\n

16. Indianapolis Colts – 331.8 Total Yards Against:<\/h4>\n

The Colts<\/a> are coming off a forgettable performance against the Steelers, who shut down Jonathan Taylor and their offense. This week, they get the Falcons, who not only have a good defense but have one of the best players in the NFL in Bijan Robinson. The Colts defense just got a lot better with the trade for Sauce Gardner<\/a>.<\/p>\n

17. San Francisco 49ers – 332.6 Total Yards Against:<\/h4>\n

The Niners<\/a> have the Rams traveling from across the bay to Clash in another epic NFC West game. They haven’t been defensively sound recently since their game against the Falcons by giving up 50 points in the past two games.<\/p>\n

18. New Orleans Saints – 333.3 Total Yards Against:<\/h4>\n

It’s funny to see the Saints<\/a> ranked anywhere but their defense deserves some kudos for what the offense has done to them. This week, they’ll have the Panthers in what should be a low-scoring game in Carolina.<\/p>\n

19. Las Vegas Raiders – 333.4 Total Yards Against:<\/h4>\n

The Raiders<\/a> defense has had to put up with bad field position for most of the year due to the play of Geno Smith and some injuries to the offense. They’d better shape up quickly because they’ll be heading to Denver this week to play the Broncos.<\/p>\n

20. New York Jets – 335.4 Total Yards Against:<\/h4>\n

This may be the last time the Jets<\/a> make the top 20 defenses after trading away Sauce Gardner and Quinnen Williams. However, if they can get help from their offense, they have a chance to stay relevant against the Browns.<\/p>\n
