After claiming safety Jerrick Reed off waivers, it’s no surprise that the Tennessee Titans will cut veteran Quandre Diggs this 2025 campaign. According to the breaking news<\/a>, the Titans are moving on from the veteran, even though he was a healthy scratch. Diggs missed a lot of time last year, but entering at 33 years old, his career is tapering off soon, and that means it could take a while for the safety to find a new home. While he isn’t going to be like free agent safety Justin Simmons, who is still available, he might receive some type of interest before the playoffs.<\/p>\n

Breaking: Titans Cut Former Three-Time Pro Bowler Quandre Diggs; 4 Destinations, Ranked<\/h2>\n

Diggs didn’t necessarily fit in with what the Titans are doing either way. After trading Dre’Mont Jones<\/a> to Baltimore and coming close to sending running back Tony Pollard to a new team, it makes sense why the Titans are moving on. Originally selected in the sixth round of the 2015 NFL Draft, the former Texas product isn’t the same anymore, but the Pro Bowler could join a contender to change his career around before he retires. The only implication is the injury issues, which may scare some teams, but it shouldn’t be a dealbreaker for these four specific rosters.<\/p>\n

1. Dallas Cowboys<\/h3>\n

The Dallas Cowboys are 3-5-1, but it doesn’t mean they’re out of postseason contention just yet. However, they have one of the worst pass-secondaries. Dallas has a lot of woes in their secondary after losing Malik Hooker to IR, and Donovan Wilson hasn’t been able to stay consistent even when healthy. Diggs won’t be able to fix every flaw that the Cowboys’ secondary has, but his presence and abilities should be enough for a fresh start to potentially earn himself a starting role.<\/p>\n

The Cowboys added two defensive playmakers, Logan Wilson and Quinnen Williams<\/a>, but none of it is enough to compensate for the atrocious secondary. Diggs is a short-term fix, but he’s better than Alijah Clark and Markquese Bell to help Juanyeh Thomas.<\/p>\n

2. Carolina Panthers<\/h3>\n

The 5-4 Panthers are in the best spot in football since the Cam Newton days several years ago. While things look bright on offense, the same can’t be said about the secondary unit. While they were able to extend both Mike Jackson and Jaycee Horn, they also brought in safety Tre’Von Moehrig<\/a>, who needs help to disrupt an offense’s aerial attack. Nick Scott found some signs of life, but Diggs is the better player at this stage if the Panthers have wild-card aspirations.<\/p>\n

Diggs isn’t going to drastically change Carolina, but it should be a good opportunity for the veteran to reclaim his prime days.<\/p>\n

3. Baltimore Ravens<\/h3>\n

Despite the 3-5 record, the Baltimore Ravens found a way to save their season while Lamar Jackson was expected to return sooner rather than later. While the offense needs to get in rhythm for the last stretch of the 2025 campaign, the defense secondary could use some depth. After losing Ar’Darius Washington<\/a> before the start of the season, rookie Malaki Starks hasn’t been able to be anything special, so they traded for Alohi Gilman. There is improvement, but they should still sign Diggs for his veteran presence to raise the ceiling in certain situations as a backup.<\/p>\n

4. Los Angeles Chargers<\/h3>\n

The Los Angeles Chargers are in second place in their division, and it feels like they should make another move to get themselves ahead. While they’re in a good place, they did trade Alohi Gilman to Baltimore, but it isn’t the biggest void. However, this is all dependent on whether Elijah Molden<\/a> can stay healthy, barring any unfortunate circumstances. The Chargers should still sign Diggs to pair with veteran Tony Jefferson to give the Chargers the upper hand when it comes to the postseason, since it’s a different ball game in that scenery.<\/p>\n
