Even though the trade deadline is over, there are several possible destinations for plenty of available free agents, but wide receiver Tyler Boyd could finally sign with a contending team before the postseason starts in January. Bleacher Report named Boyd<\/a> as a top 10 free agent and the only viable wide receiver that could find a job, which means teams could start reaching out soon if there is interest. Boyd isn’t going to be like a George Pickens<\/a>, who did phenomenally well for the Dallas Cowboys this 2025 campaign, but he should be a viable asset to lean on in situational moments. Originally selected in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft, the former Pittsburgh product isn’t going to light up and move the ball down for 50 yards, but he still has some juice to get a team in the right momentum in terms of depth.<\/p>\n

Possible Destinations for Top 10 Free Agent Tyler Boyd After Trade Deadline<\/h2>\n

There isn’t any available wide receiver free agent that is better than Boyd, which may force contending teams to make a move for him if they’re desperate. Seeing that Boyd is 30 years old and is currently winding down in his career, it’s fair to say that he could earn a solid one-year contract to see what he has left. With that, it should be interesting to see if these four teams could bring out something in the free agent after having a solid tenure with the Cincinnati Bengals to begin his NFL career, before having an abysmal campaign with the Titans.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

1. Dallas Cowboys<\/h3>\n

At 3-5-1, the Dallas Cowboys are closer to being out of postseason contention, but after their trades for Quinnen Williams and Logan Wilson on defense, there is still a chance for the team to contend. Boyd might have to work harder to earn a starting role in this offense led by Dak Prescott, but the team has always been known to bring out the best in solid veterans, as Brandin Cooks<\/a> demonstrated. While he did leave the team in free agency, the Cowboys could benefit from a veteran addition like Boyd as a viable slot receiver behind Jalen Tolbert and Ryan Flournoy.<\/p>\n

2. Carolina Panthers<\/h3>\n

After taking upsetting wins over the Green Bay Packers<\/a> and Dallas Cowboys this season, the (5-4) Panthers are surprising many in the league. While the Panthers had a deep group of receivers before the start of the 2025 campaign, they traded Adam Thielen back to Minnesota. Hunter Renfrow is still there as a reliable presence behind rookie Tetairoa McMillan and other youngsters, among Xavier Legette and Jalen Coker, but they could use another. The Panthers might come close to a wild-card contention, and Boyd might have some firepower to anchor the experience of this receiver unit.<\/p>\n

3. Kansas City Chiefs<\/h3>\n

Of course, Boyd would be open to the idea of joining the Chiefs if the opportunity were presented to him. The Chiefs finally showed signs of life after their 0-2 start to the 2025 campaign, but they should load up before the playoffs, barring any circumstance that they don’t make it. It’s hard to imagine that the Chiefs don’t at least contend for a wild-card at 5-4 after just making it to the Super Bowl consistently. Boyd won’t take playing time away from Xavier Worthy, Rashee Rice<\/a> and Tyquan Thornton, but he could be another body to help JuJu Smith-Schuster in some moments.<\/p>\n
