While the NFL can be unpredictable, it went far enough that legendary analyst Adam Schefter predicted that the Cincinnati Bengals could trade quarterback Joe Burrow at some point in the future. According to him<\/a>, even though it’s a stretch at this rate for the future of this offense, it’s also not impossible for the Bengals to trade him. Cincinnati has dealt with some of the unluckiest injuries regarding Burrow that have caused him to miss multiple games in his career. However, it does not mean the Bengals are closing the door on his future, as they will need to take another adequate starter to replace him, but it’s hard to see the team moving on.<\/p>\n

Originally selected in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, the former LSU product will be turning 29 years old, and it could be any season that his production could wear off. Adam Schefter said that the New York Jets are the latest team that could look into trading for him, especially if they endure another abysmal season next year. However, ESPN Analyst Dan Orlovsky mentioned that the rumors are outrageous, and while it’s hard to agree with the sentiment, it’s something to keep your eyeballs on for the next two seasons. Burrow is still under a blockbuster extension through the 2029 season, and after investing in Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase<\/a>, no one should even expect this to happen anytime soon.<\/p>\n

However, for hypothetical reasons, here are three teams that could push hard and bite on the rumor that Burrow could become available.<\/p>\n

1. Los Angeles Rams<\/h3>\n

As long as everyone stays healthy on offense, the Los Angeles Rams always find themselves in a talented situation. Led by veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford<\/a>, the team will need to search for their next franchiser as the veteran could soon hang up his cleats in the next two seasons. After teasing that he could retire in the wake of their loss to the Eagles in the playoffs, Stafford decided to stay longer. Head Coach Sean McVay would do well with a quarterback like Burrow and turn him into a viable threat as the new NFC captain of their ship.<\/p>\n

2. New Orleans Saints<\/h3>\n

The New Orleans Saints will most likely have a high draft pick once the season ends. While they will draft a new quarterback, it might be better to build around their future franchise. After failing to get Spencer Rattler<\/a> in the right looks, the team might need to rebuild their entire offense from scratch, which they already have been doing by trading for DeVaughn Vele and claiming Trey Palmer off waivers.<\/p>\n

They traded Rashid Shaheed<\/a>, and Brandin Cooks could be the next suspect to be cut, so as long as they make the right moves that work for Kellen Moore’s scheme, they could go all in and trade for Burrow. Still, like any team across the league, it’s a long shot, but he would be able to turn this organization around for the first time since the Drew Brees Era.<\/p>\n

3. Miami Dolphins<\/h3>\n

After the 2025 season, it’s expected that the Miami Dolphins will firesale from players to coaches. Tua Tagovailoa<\/a> might need to retire if the Dolphins don’t already cut him once the season is over due to concussion issues. While that might be out of the question for him, the Dolphins need a drastic scenery shift.
