The Miami Dolphins are embracing the tank with General Manager Chris Grier gone, and Bradley Chubb could be the next player to find a new home via trade. A former top-five pick of the Denver Broncos<\/a>, Chubb hasn’t quite regained his pre-injury form but has been a decent player when on the field. Through the first nine games of the season, the North Carolina State product has recorded four sacks, 25 tackles, five tackles-for-loss, and seven quarterback hits.<\/p>\n

Top 5 Bradley Chubb Trade Destinations, Ranked<\/h2>\n

Bradley Chubb is not the player he used to be, and the Miami Dolphins won’t come close to breaking even with a trade. However, there aren’t enough good pass rushers to go around, and the former top-five pick can still get after the quarterback. While some teams have already made moves for pass rushers, the following five organizations could pursue the veteran.<\/p>\n

5. Kansas City Chiefs<\/h3>\n

At 5-4, the Kansas City Chiefs need to do something at the trade deadline. While Patrick Mahomes had a bad game<\/a> against the Buffalo Bills, the three-time Super Bowl champion has largely played up to his previous form throughout the season. However, the defense isn’t as good as normal, especially in the trenches.<\/p>\n

The recently extended George Karlaftis is having a strong campaign, but superstar defensive tackle Chris Jones<\/a> is starting to show his age. Bradley Chubb isn’t the player who tortured Kansas City twice a year for four and a half years, but the trade candidate would help the Chiefs compete in one of the league’s toughest divisions.<\/p>\n

4. Pittsburgh Steelers<\/h3>\n

The Pittsburgh Steelers are 5-3, a record that isn’t uncommon for Mike Tomlin’s squad. However, the way in which they earned those wins is not what you’d normally expect from the Steelers. After a slow start to the season, Aaron Rodgers is playing good football and has the offense looking alive for the first time in years. The defense, meanwhile, is something of a liability.<\/p>\n

While the unit deserves credit for stopping Daniel Jones and the Indianapolis Colts<\/a>, the overall body of work leaves something to be desired. Rodgers is still good, but he’s not the guy who can singlehandedly win every shootout at this stage in his career. A Bradley Chubb trade would give the Steelers a much-needed complement to T.J. Watt and increase the team’s odds of finally winning a playoff game.<\/p>\n

3. Jacksonville Jaguars<\/h3>\n

They don’t ask how, they just ask how many. While it hasn’t always been pretty, the Jacksonville Jaguars are currently 5-3 and would be in the playoffs if the season ended today. While the offensive inconsistency earns most of the headlines, Jacksonville’s pass rush is probably the biggest weakness with this roster.<\/p>\n

The Jaguars have just 10 sacks through eight games, which is not nearly enough for a team with postseason aspirations. Josh Hines-Allen<\/a> and former first-overall pick Travon Walker<\/a> are a good duo, but a Bradley Chubb trade would give Jacksonville some more depth at a weak position.<\/p>\n

2. New England Patriots<\/h3>\n

While most people expected the 2025 Patriots to be better than the 2024 iteration of the club, nobody expected this type of improvement. Drake Maye is playing at an MVP level<\/a>, Mike Vrabel is a Coach of the Year favorite, and the team is tied for the best record in football at 7-2. While their weak schedule certainly played a role in this success, you can’t deny their Super Bowl aspirations.<\/p>\n

The biggest weakness on this team is the defensive line. Harold Landry and K’Lavon Chaisson are the primary starters, but both players would be better in lesser roles. Bradley Chubb might not be an ideal three-down starter anymore, but the trade target could rotate with these two to keep everyone fresh for what is hopefully a long postseason run.<\/p>\n

1. San Francisco 49ers<\/h3>\n

The injury bug is feasting on the San Francisco 49ers, as first-round pick Mykel Williams was the latest defensive lineman to suffer a season-ending injury. While the rookie was struggling to adapt to life in the NFL, someone must step up and fill his spot in the lineup. Bryce Huff can’t do it all on his own, and Bradley Chubb might be the best trade target remaining.<\/p>\n

The 49ers previously acquired Keion White from the New England Patriots, but that shouldn’t prevent them from making another move. White cost effectively nothing and the edge rusher failed to do much of anything during his time in New England. Chubb is a superior player with a longer track record and has a much better shot of making an impact for a team chasing the Lombardi Trophy.<\/p>\n
