A former undrafted free agent, Shaheed overcame the odds to establish himself as one of the league’s better deep threats. While nobody will confuse him with peak Tyreek Hill, he brings a key vertical element to the passing attack and contenders across the league should be interested in adding him to their roster.

Top 5 Rashid Shaheed Trade Destinations, Ranked

At 1-7, the New Orleans Saints have swapped second-year veteran Spencer Rattler for second-round rookie Tyler Shough. Even if Shough elevates the passing attack, it’s probably too late for the Saints to make the playoffs. Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos currently control the AFC West, but they’ll need to add more talent to hold on to their divisional lead. After a slow start to the season, Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are back to looking like their unstoppable selves. The defense is strong, Mahomes is in the thick of the MVP race, and wide receiver Rashee Rice is back on the field.

Denver has a great defense, and Bo Nix is making the Year 2 leap, but he’s not an elite quarterback. While the top five or so quarterbacks in the NFL can create an elite passing attack regardless of their surrounding, a good-but-not-great one like Nix needs better weapons. Throwing deep is probably the weakest part of Nix’s game, and a Rashid Shaheed trade could give the Broncos a better downfield target.

Oct 19, 2025; Denver, Colorado, USA; Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix (10) reacts after a play against the New York Giants during the second half at Empower Field at Mile High. San Francisco 49ers

Whether it’s Mac Jones or Brock Purdy for the rest of the year, the San Francisco 49ers need someone to actually catch the ball. Injuries have devastated this team throughout the season, and the organization is without Ricky Pearsall and Brandon Aiyuk while Jauan Jennings battles through multiple broken ribs. Head coach Kyle Shanahan remains one of the best in the game and can get this team to the playoffs despite the injuries, but you need talent to win in the postseason.

A Rashid Shaheed trade could give them that necessary talent. Shanahan is one of the game’s best offensive minds, and adding a dangerous vertical threat to this offense could give the 49ers one of the game’s best all-around passing attacks. Given Shaheed’s speed and Shanahan’s ability to create open throws, this pairing could lead to multiple explosive plays per game.

Sep 28, 2025; Santa Clara, California, USA; San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy (13) stands at the line during the first quarter against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Levi’s Stadium. Buffalo Bills

The 2025 Buffalo Bills are a good football team, but they’re not quite as dominant as usual. While Josh Allen is still an elite quarterback, the weapons around him are not pulling their weight. Khalil Shakir is a solid slot option, but he shouldn’t be the top option in any passing attack. Second-round pick Keon Coleman, meanwhile, is not making the Year 2 leap, and tight end Dalton Kincaid is better as the second or third option in a passing attack.

Rashid Shaheed may not be a high-volume receiver, but it’s easy to see why the Bills would want to trade for him. Josh Allen has arguably the strongest arm in the league, and there’s no corner of the football field he cannot reach. Combining his cannon with Shaheed’s ability to get open downfield could give Buffalo the offensive firepower they need to overtake the New England Patriots in the AFC East.

Oct 13, 2025; Atlanta, Georgia, USA; Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen (17) stands in the pocket against the Atlanta Falcons during the second half of a game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Pittsburgh Steelers

The race for the AFC North looked like it could be over before it ever began just a few weeks ago. However, Pittsburgh’s recent slump, combined with the return of Lamar Jackson, means this division race is far from over. Rodgers isn’t playing like his MVP self, but he’s the best quarterback Pittsburgh’s had since Ben Roethlisberger. However, he needs more help if he’s going to lead this team on its first deep playoff run in almost a decade.

D.K. Metcalf is a good wide receiver, but Rodgers needs someone else to step up. Seeing as the rest of the depth chart can’t get the job done, a Rashid Shaheed trade might be in order. Rodgers can still push the ball downfield, and Shaheed can track and separate far better than the recently signed Marquez Valdes-Scantling.

Sep 28, 2025; Dublin, Ireland; Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (8) and defensive tackle Cameron Heyward (97) leave the field after an NFL International Series game against the Minnesota Vikings at Croke Park. New England Patriots

After his promising rookie season, New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye has established himself as one of the league’s premier quarterbacks. The UNC product is having a historic season throwing the ball downfield, and he’s doing it with unremarkable weapons. While Stefon Diggs and Kayshon Boutte are both having solid seasons, neither receiver is playing at an All-Pro level. Both players struggle to consistently separate against top cornerbacks in man coverage, so New England needs another set of hands.

Looking around the league, Rashid Shaheed is the best trade target for this team. While he’s no superstar, it’s hard to envision any defense having answers for Maye and three solid receivers with unique skillsets. Shaheed can stretch the field with his speed, Boutte can use his size and improved route running throughout the field, and Diggs can do a little bit of everything. With all these weapons at his disposal, Maye can continue to lead this team to wins while pushing for his first MVP award.

New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye (10) fires the ball downfield during the first quarter against the Tennessee Titans at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tenn., Sunday, Oct. 19, 2025.

The New Orleans Saints could trade Rashid Shaheed in the coming days, and these five teams could fight for his services

[6431,3,15,5,28,9,31
10104,7659
post-253009","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-nfl-teams","category-bills","category-broncos","category-patriots","category-saints","category-steelers","category-49ers","tag-rashid-shaheed","tag-saints-featured
["GET
