With six teams on byes, the Week 8 waiver wire may be the most important one of the season. You’re bound to have a hole or two in your lineup, and the teams that patch them effectively will end up victorious in this week’s fantasy football matchups.<\/p>\n

Week 8 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire<\/h2>\n

QUARTERBACK ADDS<\/h3>\n

(42%%) Jaxon Dart, New York Giants<\/h4>\n

\"Jaxson<\/p>\n

Dart just had his best game yet versus one of the hardest defenses in football. He threw for 283 yards, 3 touchdowns, and 1 interception, and rushed five times for 11 yards and a touchdown. He needs to be owned and likely started everywhere at this point.<\/p>\n

(12%) Joe Flacco, Cincinnati Bengals<\/h4>\n

What a game! The old grandpas both proved that they still got it, though it was Flacco who impressively came away with the win for his new team. He threw for 342 yards and 3 touchdowns and looked perfectly capable of running the Cincinnati<\/a> offense.<\/p>\n

WIDE RECEIVER ADDS<\/h3>\n

(29%) Darnell Mooney, Atlanta Falcons<\/h4>\n

In his first game back in weeks, Mooney caught 3 of his 5 targets for 68 yards. He is the deep threat option in this offense, giving him a pretty high ceiling despite also having a low floor each week.<\/p>\n

(17%) Tez Johnson, Tampa Bay Buccaneers<\/h4>\n

With Mike Evans out for at least most of the rest of the season, Johnson will likely see a significant increase in looks. This past week, he caught 4 of 9 targets for 58 yards and a touchdown, which was his second week in a row with a TD.<\/p>\n

(9%) Alec Pierce, Indianapolis Colts<\/h4>\n

Pierce caught 5 of his 10 targets for nearly 100 yards in what was easily his best game so far this season. He is a talented receiver whose role could continue to grow, even when Josh Downs returns from his injury.<\/p>\n

RUNNING BACK ADDS<\/h3>\n

(7%) Kyle Monangai, Chicago Bears<\/h4>\n

Monangai had about double his usual amount of carries this past week, rushing 13 times for 81 yards and a touchdown and catching 2 of his 3 targets for 13 yards. He looked very good in this one and is worth adding in case he continues to be used more in this offense, and especially in the event D\u2019Andre Swift has to miss any time due to injury.<\/p>\n

(6%) Brashard Smith, Kansas City Chiefs<\/h4>\n

Smith saw a huge uptick in both carries and targets in Week 7, though unfortunately, it was due to the Chiefs resting their starters. He carried the ball 14 times for 39 yards and caught all 5 of his targets for 42 yards. It looks like Isaiah Pacheco is the guy to own in this backfield, but you could do worse than stashing Smith.<\/p>\n

TIGHT END ADDS<\/h3>\n

(20%) Dalton Schultz, Houston Texans<\/h4>\n

Schultz had his biggest game of the season, catching 9 of his 10 targets for nearly 100 yards. This had to do with Nico Collins sustaining a concussion, but with the offense struggling as much as it has been, Schultz could be utilized more to help get things going even when Collins is back to full health.<\/p>\n

(18%) Theo Johnson, New York Giants<\/h4>\n

Johnson caught 3 of his 7 targets for 66 yards and a touchdown. This whole offense is looking up with Jaxon Dart now throwing the football, and Johnson is one of the biggest beneficiaries.<\/p>\n

(5%) Oronde Gadsden, Los Angeles Chargers<\/h4>\n

This was a big breakout performance for the rookie tight end, as he caught 7 of 9 passes for an insane 164 yards and a touchdown. He has established himself clearly as the team\u2019s TE1 and needs to be picked up everywhere.<\/p>\n

KICKER ADDS<\/h3>\n

(47%) Evan McPherson, Cincinnati Bengals<\/h4>\n

Flacco brought this offense new life, which meant plenty of opportunities for the kicker. He made all 4 of his field goals, 2 of which were over 40-yarders. He is a great kicker, and his value could rise significantly if the team can keep it up.<\/p>\n

(3%) Will Reichard, Minnesota Vikings<\/h4>\n

Reichard had a big game in week 7, hitting 5 of 5 field goal attempts, one of which was from nearly 60 yards. He is now 13 for 14 with field goals and 12 for 12 with extra points. This was also his fourth field goal of at least 50 yards, and he has already had his BYE, making him a strong play for the remainder of the season.<\/p>\n

DST ADDS<\/h3>\n

(15%) San Francisco 49ers<\/h4>\n

San Fran<\/a> seems like a decent play against the Texans this coming week, especially if Nico Collins remains out with his concussion.<\/p>\n

(10%) Atlanta Falcons<\/h4>\n

Atlanta<\/a> is facing Miami<\/a> this coming week. Enough said.<\/p>\n
