That patience may prove wise, especially considering how the team handled quarterback Brock Purdy\u2019s recovery. Purdy returned from a toe injury after missing two games, only to aggravate it against the Jacksonville Jaguars<\/a>. He then missed his second straight game, leaving backup Mac Jones to start again against Atlanta.<\/p>\n

Despite Jones\u2019 oblique and knee injuries, he has performed admirably in relief. With Pearsall still sidelined and Jennings reportedly frustrated about his role, Kittle\u2019s availability steadied a unit that has struggled to find rhythm. The fact that McCaffrey\u2019s first 100-yard rushing performance of 2025 came in Kittle\u2019s return shows just how important the tight end is to San Francisco\u2019s offense. Now that he has a full game under his belt, look for Kittle\u2019s usage to increase, especially if he can re-establish a rhythm in the passing game with Jones or Purdy.<\/p>\n

If he can stay healthy moving forward, Kittle\u2019s comeback could mark a turning point for a 49ers team trying to overcome injuries, regain its offensive identity, and continue winning football games.<\/p>\n
