Defense can win championships. So the importance of playing great team defense is something worth taking a look at. Here is how our NFL Defense Power Rankings look prior to Week 7 of the season.<\/p>\n

Top 10 NFL Defense Power Rankings<\/h2>\n

1. Cleveland Browns<\/h3>\n

The Browns<\/a> have an elite defensive unit that can stop the run, get after the quarterback, and force turnovers. They play the Dolphins<\/a> this week, a team they should be able to beat.<\/p>\n

2. Denver Broncos<\/h3>\n

The Broncos<\/a> came into the season with one of the top defensive units, and although things haven’t gone as well for them as expected, they are still one of the best around, and they showed it last week in London.<\/p>\n

3. Houston Texans<\/h3>\n

Coming off their bye week, the Texans<\/a> defense has been solid all season. When their offense was struggling earlier in the season, they were the reason why the team remained competitive. They will have a tough task this week against Seattle<\/a>.<\/p>\n

4. Green Bay Packers<\/h3>\n

The Packers<\/a> defense hasn’t played its best so far this season; however, they are one of the more talented units, and at some point, Micah Parsons is going to be fully healthy and make a bigger impact.<\/p>\n

5. Minnesota Vikings<\/h3>\n

The Vikings<\/a> are coming off their bye week and will look to make a statement by beating the Eagles<\/a> this weekend. The defense is very well coached, they force plenty of turnovers, and they will look to hand Philly their third straight loss.<\/p>\n

6. Atlanta Falcons<\/h3>\n

The Falcons<\/a>‘ pass rush is much improved this season. They showed it last week when they beat up on Josh Allen and the Bills<\/a>. They sacked Allen four times and forced him into throwing two interceptions as well.<\/p>\n

7. Los Angeles Chargers<\/h3>\n

The Chargers<\/a> have dealt with some key injuries on defense, and they haven’t been as good as earlier in the season. Still, they are forcing plenty of turnovers, and they will need to do that again this week against a good Colts<\/a> team.<\/p>\n

8. Kansas City Chiefs<\/h3>\n

The Chiefs<\/a> defense is very well-coached, and they always seem to get better as the season progresses. They played their best game of the season a week ago against the Lions<\/a> and should be able to build on it this weekend against the Raiders<\/a>.<\/p>\n

9. Los Angeles Rams<\/h3>\n

The Rams<\/a> defense came on strong toward the end of last season and has begun this season on a high note. They were the stars of the game a week ago, holding the Ravens<\/a> to just 3 points, while their offense struggled and needed the defense to step up like they did.<\/p>\n

10. Detroit Lions<\/h3>\n

The defense has played better than expected so far this season, but they did get torched by the Chiefs last week. They were missing most of their secondary in that game, so it\u2019s not fair to judge them for it. Once healthy again, this unit will make some noise.<\/p>\n
