Rico Dowdle went from a waiver gem to top five in the league in rushing, so hopefully you already picked him up. Double-check for higher-owned players like Kimani Vidal and Kenneth Gainwell, but if they’re already taken, here are the top waiver wire options ahead of Week 7’s action.

Waiver Wire Additions After Week 6

Jerome Ford, Cleveland Browns Running Back

Ford is a one-week play. From now through the rest of the fantasy football season, any running back that plays the Miami Dolphins should be rostered and considered a flex option, even if they’re the second back in the offense. Ford is operating as the passing downs back and the 1b on the ground, so he’s a nice RB3 or flex play this week.

Jerome Ford is rostered in 16% of leagues on Sleeper.

Jaydon Blue, Dallas Cowboys Running Back

With Miles Sanders on IR, Blue is the top handcuff on one of the best offenses in the NFL. Javonte Williams has the lead, but if he misses any time, Blue can be a league winner.

Jaydon Blue is rostered in 29% of leagues on Sleeper.

Jordan Whittington, Los Angeles Rams Wide Receiver

When Puka Nacua misses time, Whittington plays more. A lot more. Whittington is a rare wide receiver handcuff and immediately becomes a top-40 wide receiver option. With bye weeks and injuries already piling up, he’s set to be a contributor to most folks’ fantasy teams.

Jordan Whittington is rostered in 2% of leagues on Sleeper.

Luther Burden, Chicago Bears Wide Receiver

Burden saw his largest involvement in the offense in Week 6 and looked solid while doing it. The post-bye rookie bump didn’t hit him that hard yet, but every Olamide Zacheus target shows another reason why Burden should be on the field more. With DJ Moore in the hospital for an unknown injury, Burden is going to be more important to this offense in Week 7 than he was in Week 6.

Luther Burden is rostered in 25% of leagues on Sleeper.

Harold Fannin Jr, Cleveland Browns Tight End

It’s been a slow adjustment for fantasy managers and Fannin. He’s the TE12 on the season, but is still available in just over half of leagues. Either some leagues are asleep at the wheel, or the stink around the Cleveland Browns has scared some folks off. Dillon Gabriel is using his tight ends as a safety blanket, so take advantage.

Harold Fannin Jr. is rostered in 28% of leagues on Sleeper.

Oronde Gadsden, Los Angeles Chargers Tight End

Gadsden ran the most routes, had the most targets, and was the best tight end for the Chargers in Week 6. The Miami Dolphins are the gift that keeps on giving, but the coaching staff won’t be able to put the toothpaste back in the tube. Gadsden has utility as long as he remains the top guy in L.A.

Oronde Gadsden is rostered in 4% of leagues on Sleeper.

Main Photo Credit: Gary A.
