The New York Jets are 0-6 after yet another ugly loss and will probably try and trade Breece Hall in the coming weeks. With the Saints seemingly willing to accept Alvin Kamara’s desire to stay with the organization<\/a>, Hall is easily the best running back on the trade block and should fetch a decent return from contenders that could use a boost in their backfield.<\/p>\n

Top 4 Breece Hall Trade Destinations<\/h2>\n

Despite the overall struggles of the New York Jets offense, Hall has played well in his contract year. Starting in all six games, the former second-round pick has recorded 410 yards on just 88 carries, good for 4.7 yards per attempt. With running backs dropping like flies, the following four teams could make a move for the veteran.<\/p>\n

4. New England Patriots<\/h3>\n

The New England Patriots are legitimate contenders. While the defense is still inconsistent, Drake Maye is playing like a top-five quarterback<\/a> with a revamped offensive line, a healthy Stefon Diggs, and old friend Josh McDaniels running the offense. The team is currently 4-2 and just a half game behind the Buffalo Bills despite having one of the league’s weakest backfields.<\/p>\n

Antonio Gibson is done for the season, Rhamondre Stevenson cannot stop fumbling the ball, and rookie TreVeyon Henderson<\/a> isn’t comfortable with the playbook, isn’t breaking tackles, and struggles to follow his blocks. Running back isn’t the most important position in the game by any stretch of the imagination, but New England must find a better option. The Jets might not be willing to trade Breece Hall to a division rival, but the Patriots would be a perfect fit.<\/p>\n

3. Chicago Bears<\/h3>\n

D’Andre Swift has the starting job in Chicago by default, but he shouldn’t keep it much longer. After head coach Ben Johnson tried and failed to upgrade the position repeatedly throughout the offseason, Swift entered the season as RB1 and has been one of the least efficient starters in football. So far this season, Swift is averaging just 3.3 yards per carry, and his advanced metrics paint a similar picture.<\/p>\n

Ben Johnson loves to run the football, and a Breece Hall trade could give him the starting-caliber running back he desperately wants. With Hall joining a loaded offense including D.J. Moore, Rome Odunze, and first-round pick Colston Loveland<\/a>, Caleb Williams should have all the support he needs to be one of the game’s most efficient passers.<\/p>\n

2. Kansas City Chiefs<\/h3>\n

The Kansas City Chiefs got their statement win with a dominant victory over the Detroit Lions on Sunday Night Football. Now, it’s time to build on that momentum and return to being one of the game’s top teams. Rashee Rice’s return<\/a> will help this organization, but they should consider a Breece Hall trade to fortify the backfield.<\/p>\n

Now 3-3, the Chiefs must do something to close the gap between them and the Los Angeles Chargers. Justin Herbert is playing inspired football, and stealing the division crown from this squad won’t come easy. Hall would upgrade a backfield that desperately needs some juice and should give Patrick Mahomes another capable weapon.<\/p>\n

1. Los Angeles Chargers<\/h3>\n

Kimani Vidal had a strong performance in Week 6, but he probably won’t keep that up for an entire season. The Miami Dolphins have the NFL’s worst run defense by a comfortable margin, and a lesser talent like Vidal won’t be able to perform like that against most defenses. First-round pick Omarion Hampton<\/a> will return to the field eventually, but the Chargers must trade for Breece Hall as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

In the short term, Hall can lead this backfield in an every-down role. Down the stretch, Hall and Hampton can be the 1-2 punch head coach Jim Harbaugh wanted to have with Hampton and veteran Najee Harris.<\/p>\n
