Who will those players be?

Star running back Jonathan Taylor could certainly make the Pro Bowl. The 2021 rushing champ is having an MVP-caliber year. Taylor is leading the NFL with 480 rushing yards and six touchdowns. He had a whopping three touchdown runs in the recent win over the Las Vegas Raiders.

If Taylor does earn the honor, it, of course, won’t be his first time. He made it in both 2021 and 2024.

Last season, Zaire Franklin was selected to the Pro Bowl for the first time. The Colts linebacker led the NFL with 173 tackles in 2024.

Here’s a look at three Colts players who just might become first-time All-Stars this season.

Colts Players Who Could Become First-Time Pro Bowlers This Season

Daniel Jones

The Colts are off to a 4-1 start. They’re undoubtedly one of the NFL’s most surprising teams this year. Perhaps Daniel Jones is the main reason for that. The former Duke quarterback is playing the best football of his career. This season, he has thrown for 1,290 yards (third-most in the league) and six touchdowns. He has also rushed for three scores.

The Colts signed Jones to a one-year deal this past offseason. He was brought in to compete with Anthony Richardson for the starting job. While Jones wasn’t expected to win the competition, he did and has totally turned his career around in Indianapolis.

Sometimes, all it takes is a change of scenery for a quarterback to revive their career. Just look at guys like Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold over the past few years.

If Jones continues to play great, he could be an MVP candidate and make his first-ever Pro Bowl.

Tyler Warren

Heading into this past offseason, the Colts desperately needed a tight end. With that said, many fans hoped the team would land Tyler Warren in the draft.

Those fans would get their wish. The Colts selected Warren with the 14th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Warren was a stud last year at Penn State, catching 104 passes for 1,233 yards. And he has emerged as a star in Indy as a rookie this season. Warren leads all NFL tight ends with 307 receiving yards and has been instrumental in Daniel Jones’ big-time season.

Raiders tight end Brock Bowers made the Pro Bowl as a rookie last year. Don’t be surprised if Warren does it this year.

Nick Cross

Indianapolis drafted Nick Cross in the third round of the 2022 draft. The safety out of Maryland has gone on to become a steal. Cross has worked his way back from being benched as a rookie to a special teams player to now being a valuable part of Indy’s secondary.

In 2024, Cross’ first year as a full-time starter, he totaled 145 tackles (second among all NFL safeties and eighth in the league) and three interceptions.

Apparently, last year wasn’t a fluke. Cross has recorded 41 combined tackles (leads the Colts) and two sacks this season. If he keeps it up, a trip to the Pro Bowl could be in the near future.

Main Photo: [Trevor Ruszkowski] – Imagn Images

Here’s a look at Daniel Jones and two other Indianapolis Colts players who might become first-time All-Stars this year.

[54,12
4688,56,9114,33015
post-249595","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-editorials","category-colts","tag-daniel-jones","tag-indianapolis-colts","tag-nick-cross","tag-tyler-warren
["GET
