Perhaps Brown is simply over the hill, but the following four teams should be willing to roll the dice on him.

Main Photo: Jay Biggerstaff – Imagn Images

1. Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals enter Week 5 with a 2-2 record, but they’re a few unlucky bounces away from being 4-0. Kyler Murray is playing well, but the same cannot be said of 2024 first-round pick Marvin Harrison. While Harrison had an impressive touchdown catch in the team’s Week 4 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, he’s far too inconsistent to be the top option for a legitimate contender. An A.J. Brown trade could give this team a much-needed veteran presence at the position, which should help this team compete in one of the league’s more difficult divisions.

Aug 2, 2025; Glendale, AZ, USA; Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray (1) during the Red and White practice in training camp at State Farm Stadium. Carolina Panthers

The Carolina Panthers passing attack lives and dies with rookie Tetairoa McMillan. While the top-10 pick is having a strong start to the season, Carolina should add another reliable option to make life easier for Bryce Young. Perhaps a healthy Jalen Coker can step into the WR2 role, but an A.J. Brown trade would give this team a known commodity at the position. At 1-3, Carolina’s season is close to being over, but that shouldn’t prevent them from going after Brown. Turning Bryce Young into a franchise quarterback is the top priority for this team, and Brown could help accomplish that goal.

Aug 8, 2025; Charlotte, North Carolina, USA; Carolina Panthers wide receiver Jalen Coker (18) celebrates with quarterback Bryce Young (9) after a touchdown catch in the first quarter at Bank of America Stadium. New York Giants

Malik Nabers is one of the best players in this league, but it looks like he won’t be around for the rest of the season. The second-year star likely tore his ACL in Week 4 and, while it’s not officially confirmed as of this posting, it’s safe to assume he won’t be on the field any time soon. First-round pick Jaxson Dart had a great debut, but he’ll need more help to turn this organization into a consistent winner. The Eagles might not want to trade A.J. Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers are 3-1, but it’s hard to feel great about their chances of hoisting the Lombardi Trophy. Aaron Rodgers is a shell of his former self, the defense is inconsistent, and the team could use a more consistent receiver opposite DK Metcalf. While Calvin Austin had his moments early in the year, an A.J. Brown trade could be just what the doctor ordered. Pittsburgh needs to go on a deep playoff run, and Brown can help accomplish that goal.

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers (8) is shown after he led Gang Green to a 32-20 victory against the Miami Dolphins, on Jan. 5, 2025, in East Rutherford, N.J.

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J.
