It was only the second-highest scoring tie in NFL history. The record was set in 1964, according to ESPN.

Both quarterbacks put on a show. Dak Prescott threw for 319 yards and three touchdowns. Jordan Love matched him with 337 yards and three touchdowns of his own. Neither defense could stop much of anything.

Scoring Went Back and Forth All Night Between Packers & Cowboys

Dallas and Green Bay Deadlock

“It ended up with the second-most points ever seen in a tie,” ESPN’s Scott Van Pelt said. “Only higher scoring tie came in 1964 when the Patriots and [Raiders] combined for 86.”

Dallas put up 16 in the second quarter and 14 in the fourth. Green Bay answered with 17 in the fourth to force overtime. Each team kicked a field goal in the extra period.

The Packers nearly ran out of time on their last drive. Poor clock management and slow execution almost cost them the game. A lucky bounce gave them a chance to kick the tying field goal. Analysts said Green Bay should be thankful to have tied at all.

On the ground, Javonte Williams carried 20 times for 85 yards and a touchdown. Josh Jacobs ran 22 times for 86 yards and two scores. In the air, George Pickens had 134 yards and two touchdowns. Jacobs added 71 more yards on four catches.

This Was Also The “Micah Bowl”

It marked Micah Parsons’ first game back in Dallas. But the Cowboys’ line took him out of the game. He had almost no impact, said CBS Sports analyst Jonathan Jones.

“If this were not the Micah Parsons Bowl, how many times have we heard Micah Parsons’ name tonight?” Jones said. “Maybe once at the end. He had that, like, it’s a technical sack due to NFL rules. But Dak Prescott got back to the line of scrimmage there… There was a lot of hype around it.

“But was it actually going to pay off? Obviously, the Dallas Cowboys come into this game and they say there’s one guy that we’re not going to let beat us, that anybody else on the Green Bay Packers’ defense can beat us,” he added. “Micah Parsons will not change this game. And really, he did not. And he was dealing with a back, and that sort of reared its head there in the second half of that game. So, Micah, the Dallas Cowboys knew that they couldn’t let him beat them, and he did not.” [Timestamp – 5:52]

Dallas moved the ball with long drives of 14, 12, and 11 plays.
