Last week, the Jets suffered a tough loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Part of what led to that loss was that the Jets were not at full strength health-wise going into the game. Players that were inactive included quarterback Justin Fields, wide receiver Josh Reynolds, edge rusher Jermaine Johnson, safety Tony Adams, and kick returner/running back Kene Nwangwu. Early practice indications from this week show the offense may receive some major boosts this week.

Sep 14, 2025; East Rutherford, New Jersey, USA; New York Jets quarterback Justin Fields (7) is pressured by Buffalo Bills defensive end Joey Bosa (97) during the second half at MetLife Stadium. This led to him not playing in Week 3, resulting in Tyrod Taylor getting the nod at quarterback. Taylor put up a middling stat line of 26 completions on 36 passing attempts for 197 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 1 interception (which was returned for a touchdown). 117 of those passing yards came in the fourth quarter. Week 4 will be a return to the norm for the Jets as Justin Fields logged full practices on Thursday and Friday. On Saturday, he officially cleared concussion protocol, per Aaron Glenn. Although he was very disappointing in Week 2, Week 1 was very promising for Fields. He posted 16 completions on 22 passing attempts for 218 yards and a touchdown pass. He also rushed the ball 12 times for 48 yards and 2 scores. It’s safe to say that the Jets offense will welcome Justin Fields back into the fold.

Jets QB Justin Fields will start Monday night vs. Miami, per HC Aaron Glenn.

— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) September 27, 2025

Josh Reynolds Could Make His First Appearance Since Week 1

Wide receiver Josh Reynolds was an interesting addition during this offseason by new General Manager Darren Mougey. At 30 years old, signing him was a contradiction to the youth movement the Jets were going for during free agency. Despite his age, though, he is probably the second most talented wide receiver on the team behind Garrett Wilson. The problem: he has been out since Week 1 with a hamstring injury. During his only appearance for the Jets this season, he logged a measly 2 catches on 3 targets for 18 yards, all coming in the fourth quarter. However, it is no secret that the Jets were aiming to run the ball a lot during that game. Thankfully, he logged a limited practice on Thursday and a full practice on Friday. This could be signaling a near return for the wideout. In what should be a competitive game this week against the Dolphins, Reynolds, if he is able to play, could be a difference maker through the air against a weak Dolphins secondary.

With him and Justin Fields potentially back, the Jets would indeed receive some boosts on offense.

Main Photo: [Vincent Carchietta] – Imagn Images

The New York Jets have been missing significant pieces on offense, but they should receive multiple boosts for this Monday night.

[6,34308,36
2003,33764,7330,32048
post-248722","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-jets","category-injuries","category-nfl-news","tag-josh-reynolds","tag-justin-fields-news","tag-new-york-jets-news","tag-nfl-injuries
["GET
