New York Giants running back Tyrone Tracy suffered a shoulder injury early in Week 3’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs<\/a>, and the former fifth-round pick will reportedly miss some time. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter<\/a>, the second-year pro will miss two to four weeks with his injury, during which time the Giants will turn to rookie Cam Skattebo and veteran Devin Singletary to lead the backfield.<\/p>\n

Tyrone Tracy Injury Update: Running Back Sidelined 2-4 Weeks With Shoulder Injury<\/h2>\n

Following his impressive rookie season, the Purdue product entered the season as the leader of New York’s crowded backfield. Appearing in all three games, Tyrone Tracy recorded 22 carries for 68 yards while adding eight receptions for 54 yards before suffering his shoulder injury.<\/p>\n

While Devin Singletary will see some work, rookie Cam Skattebo<\/a> should see most of the work in this backfield. The Arizona State product has impressed during his limited time at the professional level, recording 23 carries for 102 yards and two touchdowns while adding 10 receptions for 87 yards through the air. He was one of the few bright spots on the Giants offense in Week 3, recording 60 yards and a touchdowns on just 10 carries while adding another six receptions for 61 yards in the receiving game.<\/p>\n

Backing him up will be seven-year veteran Devin Singletary<\/a>. A former third-round pick of the Buffalo Bills, Singletary entered the 2024 season as the Giants starting running back but quickly lost the job to Tracy. Appearing in 15 games while making five starts, the veteran finished the season with 437 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 113 attempts. His best season came in 2023 when he recorded 898 rushing yards and four touchdowns during his lone season with the Houston Texans.<\/p>\n
