The Bears beat the Dallas Cowboys 31-14, and it mattered because Williams played awesome, throwing 19 correct passes out of 28 for 298 yards and 4 total touchdowns. The Cowboys’ defense had a tough game and might need to work on stopping the other team’s offense.

Cowboys Vs. Dallas clawed back when Dak Prescott hit George Pickens for a 2-yard score and converted a two-point play, tying the game at 14. But Chicago regained control before halftime with a Cairo Santos field goal and a 10-yard pass to Cole Kmet. Williams delivered the knockout blow early in the third quarter, finding DJ Moore for a 4-yard touchdown that secured the Bears’ dominance.

Numbers Told Part of The Story

Dallas outgained Chicago 396 to 385 and rushed for more yards, but the Bears averaged 6.8 yards per play compared with Dallas’s 5.9. Burden III finished with 101 yards and a touchdown on three catches. Tight end Jake Ferguson gave the Cowboys a leg up with 13 receptions for 82 yards, but it was not enough.

Is the Cowboys’ Defense “Horrific”?

Sep 21, 2025; Chicago, Illinois, USA; Dallas Cowboys defensive back Reddy Steward (27) grabs Chicago Bears wide receiver Rome Odunze (15) jersey during the second half at Soldier Field.
