The Browns’ crushing 0-2 start to the season highlighted glaring issues that are hindering Kevin Stefanski’s squad from the very beginning of the season. The Browns<\/a> aren’t a playoff contender team per se, but fans expected some improvement after the front office went all out to draft two QBs in the 2025 NFL Draft.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, two weeks into the season, it is the offense that needs the most work. The lineup has some stunning players who left their mark last Sunday, but as a whole, they struggled mightily. Coming anywhere close to a winning record this season with the offensive game they have right now looks like a long shot.<\/p>\n

Fixing Offense Should Be Kevin Stefanski’s Primary Focus<\/h2>\n

The person with the keys to the Browns’ offense, Joe Flacco, struggled the most to find his stride with just 25-of-45 passes completed and an interception, all at 199 yards.<\/p>\n

There were also players like Quinshon Judkins, who flashed the potential to have a big night on his debut day, but was a resource not utilized properly.<\/p>\n

ESPN’s Daniel Oyefusi is convinced that correcting the offense will be a tough, uphill battle for Stefansk<\/a>i and his staff.<\/p>\n

“After lamenting missed opportunities in their season-opening loss, the Browns weren’t able to gain any footing Sunday. Despite running back Quinshon Judkins making his team debut, Cleveland’s run game was nonexistent until a few garbage-time carries,” Oyefusi wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“It’s the foundation of Kevin Stefanski’s offense, and until the Browns find answers on the ground, it will be an uphill battle for the unit.”<\/p>\n

And it’s not just the analysts saying so, the ones from the 53-man squad believe the same.<\/p>\n

Myles Garrett Equally Disappointed in Browns’ Performance<\/h3>\n

“S—‘s embarrassing,” Browns star Myles Garrett said in his post-game conference.<\/a><\/p>\n

“We got to be better on defense. We got to be better as a team. They slowly chipped away, and we did a solid job, holding them to 3 when we could, and then eventually the dam broke, and they just did whatever they want, and we have to continue to play a 60-minute game.”<\/p>\n

Their loss against the Ravens<\/a> was a wake-up call that Stefanski seems to be taking seriously. He came clean on the immediate changes his team needed,<\/a> and he explained how he planned to bring them.<\/p>\n

We’ll see how well he can execute his plan this Sunday, Sept. 21, as they prepare to host another playoff-level team, the Green Bay Packers, at Huntington Bank Field.<\/p>\n
