The waiver wire is supposed to be chaotic. Most of the good players are scooped up, and these are the leftovers to plug holes in your roster. In superflex leagues, the injuries to quarterbacks provide a couple of solid options, while in most standard leagues, there aren’t earth-shattering options. Let’s find some options to stream in Week 3 after your waiver wire pickups in Week 2.<\/p>\n

Note – These players are all rostered in under 50% of leagues on Sleeper fantasy football<\/a>.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Week 2 Waiver Wire Additions – Old Wide Receivers and New Tricks<\/h2>\n

Hunter Renfrow – Carolina Panthers Wide Receiver<\/h3>\n

Renfrow played in over 80% of the snaps in Sunday’s game and took full advantage. He’s always been able to separate, and the dropoff from his 1,000-yard season was unexpected. After a quick break from football, he looks like he’s ready to be the number two option in the offense until Jalen Coker returns from injury, then things might get murky. With over five targets in each of the past two games, he’s a solid PPR option.<\/p>\n

Hunter Renfrow is a fine streaming option for teams that need wide receiver help in Week 3 off the waiver wire.<\/em><\/p>\n

Dyami Brown – Jacksonville Jaguars Wide Receiver<\/h3>\n

Until Trevor Lawrence and Brian Thomas Jr. can figure out how to get in sync, Dyami Brown is having a heck of a start. The Jaguars are letting it fly, and Brown was on the receiving end of seven targets in Week 2. While they have a tough matchup in Week 3, Brown may take advantage of extra attention to Thomas Jr. and Travis Hunter.<\/p>\n

Dyami Brown is a target for deep leagues as an emergency flex.<\/em><\/p>\n

Waiver Wire Running Back Options<\/h2>\n

Kenneth Gainwell – Pittsburgh Steelers Running Back<\/h3>\n

As a result of Kaleb Johnson’s big mistake, Gainwell is the clear RB2 for the team. He played in over 40% of the plays on Sunday, and while he doesn’t have much standalone value, he can be a “break glass in case of emergency” option as bye weeks start up.<\/p>\n

Gainwell is a handcuff with benefits until further notice.<\/em><\/p>\n

Woody Marks – Houston Texans Running Back<\/h3>\n

Marks is following the normal progression for a day three running back. It’s normal to start the season slow, and he will continue to get more run as the season goes on. Joe Mixon might be toast, Nick Chubb isn’t inspiring confidence, and the rest of the running back room is a fantasy manager’s ghost of waiver wire options past.<\/p>\n

Marks is a bench stash until he gets more playing time, but the early signs are there.<\/em><\/p>\n

Tight Ends and Quarterbacks<\/h2>\n

Jake Tonges – San Francisco 49ers Tight End<\/h3>\n

With George Kittle<\/a> on IR, Tonges stepped into a pretty sizeable role for San Francisco. For a waiver wire tight end, five targets and four receptions are pretty solid. He’s not the flashiest of options, but he gets a great matchup against the Swiss cheese Arizona Cardinals<\/a> defense this week.<\/p>\n

Tonges is an option if your starting tight end is hurt, or drafted T.J. Hockenson and feel bad about it.<\/em><\/p>\n

Ja’Tavion Sanders – Carolina Panthers Tight End<\/h3>\n

Entering year two, expectations were pretty low for JT Sanders. Through two weeks, he’s the TE15 and a reasonable streaming option. The Cardinals were a great matchup, but he gets nice ones in Weeks 4 and 5 against New England and Miami. Sanders is in the stash for later category, but he was a pretty exciting prospect who might be putting it together early in 2025.<\/p>\n
