Unexpected Names That Made the Final Roster<\/h3>\n

Undrafted Rookies<\/h4>\n

Three undrafted rookies secured a spot on the 53-man roster: inside linebacker Jay Higgins, cornerback Keyon Martin, and safety Reuben Lowery. While it is not surprising that the Ravens continued their long-standing tradition<\/a> of selecting an undrafted rookie to the 53-man roster, their decision to add three to an already stacked defense is certainly turning heads.<\/p>\n

With that being said, all three made plays when it counted. Higgins intercepted a pass in the preseason opener against the Indianapolis Colts<\/a>, Lowery managed to snag an interception in the second preseason game against the Dallas Cowboys<\/a>, and Martin recorded a pick-six against the Washington Commanders<\/a>. Their performances proved that they earned their spots on merit, not just by filling roster gaps.<\/p>\n

Outside linebacker David Ojabo is an incredibly promising talent; however, injuries have been a recurring problem, limiting him to just 18 regular-season games in three years. After securing a roster spot due to an excellent preseason, fans are hoping Ojabo can head into the upcoming regular season with a clean bill of health, allowing him to make an impact on the field.<\/p>\n

Jalyn Armour-Davis<\/a><\/h4>\n

Jalyn Armour-Davis has struggled constantly with injuries throughout his NFL career. However, after his healthiest training camp yet, most people considered him a lock for a spot on the 53-man roster. Still, in a surprising move, the Ravens decided to part ways with Armour-Davis, opting instead for younger players who had excellent training camp performances, such as TJ Tampa and Keyon Martin.<\/p>\n
