Luckily, the Chargers quieted some of the louder parts of the fanbase and signed Super-Bowl-winning guard, Mekhi Becton<\/a>, to a two-year $20 million deal to come in and help fix the interior offensive line.<\/p>\n

While this signing on paper is only one upgrade across the three spots that were lacking, the domino effect it created is enough to give some hope that this interior Chargers offensive line can be improved in 2025. The Chargers were without Becton for the majority of the offseason, as he was out with an undisclosed injury, leading fans to panic. He eventually moved on to Philadelphia with the Eagles, playing guard. His size at 6’7 360 gave him a unique size for the position, allowing him to have a Pro-Bowl caliber season on a Super-Bowl winning team. He then signed his aforementioned contract with the Chargers to play guard and help fix the Chargers biggest issue of their 2024 season.<\/p>\n
