He isn’t waiting until next offseason for his new contract and is open for the team to trade him if he doesn’t meet his demands. However, this could force the 49ers to make some decisions quickly as the 2025 offseason has been a busy one of extending talent like quarterback Brock Purdy<\/a> to a massive deal.<\/p>\n

To make room for Jennings, the 49ers might be better off trading Aiyuk to another roster, so they could sign his next contract. Between the 2024 draft pick Ladd McConkey<\/a> and Quentin Johnston, the team is slowly getting weaker in the offensive arsenal for quarterback Justin Herbert. The Chargers will benefit from Aiyuk’s presence one way or another, as the team has been struggling to find its next stellar, consistent receiver.<\/p>\n
