Taylor should be healthy entering the 2025 season, as the Indianapolis Colts could have a new starting quarterback. How does this affect Taylor? Can he return to his overall RB1 form, and what is Jonathan Taylor’s fantasy football outlook in 2025?

Fantasy Football Outlook for Jonathan Taylor

Recent Production

Jonathan Taylor has struggled with injuries over the last three seasons since his overall RB1 season in 2021. He has played in 11, 10, and 14 games in the next three seasons. Last year, Taylor had 303 carries for 1431 rushing yards and 11 rushing touchdowns. He added 18 catches for 136 receiving yards and one touchdown, which was the worst receiving production of his career.

Taylor picked up his production at the end of the season, especially in the final three games. In Week 16, he had 29 carries for 218 rushing yards and three touchdowns. In Week 17, he had 32 carries for 125 rushing yards and two touchdowns, and in Week 18, he had 34 carries for 177 yards and one touchdown. His fantasy finishes in those three weeks: RB1, RB1, and RB5 after having only one top ten finish in his first eleven games.

Taylor was the RB12 in PPR leagues, RB7 in points per game, and the RB5 in expected points per game.

2025 Fantasy Football Outlook

The biggest offseason news for the Colts was the signing of Daniel Jones to compete with Anthony Richardson at the quarterback position. Richardson has not lived up to the hype over his first few years and has struggled with injuries. In fact, he is dealing with more injuries in the offseason. Jones, being the quarterback, should be better for Taylor, as he will not take away rushing touchdowns like Richardson does to Taylor.

Taylor should have full control over this backfield.
