A projected Day 3 pick, TeSlaa was drafted in the third round by the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/lions\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Detroit Lions<\/a> after they traded up and gave up two future third-round picks to take TeSlaa. They basically used three third-round picks on TeSlaa and got two six-round picks back as well. However, Lions<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nfl.com\/news\/lions-gm-brad-holmes-isaac-teslaa-was-my-favorite-wide-receiver-in-this-draft\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">general manager Brad Holmes said this was his favorite draft pick of the entire Draft<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, so the Lions must think he was worth the steep price. After three seasons, he transferred to the University of Arkansas to play his final two years. In his two years combined at Arkansas, he had<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/isaac-teslaa-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">62 receptions for 896 receiving yards and five touchdowns<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. This is not a lot of production for a player who was drafted in the third round.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Two things make him great and are the reason why the Lions selected him on Day 2 of the Draft. The first is that he had<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2025\/03\/19\/2025-nfl-draft-scouting-report-isaac-teslaa-arkansas\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">zero drops in 2024 and is great at making contested catches<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Secondly, he had the highest<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nfl.com\/prospects\/isaac-teslaa\/32005445-5311-6936-ab44-7861b1b8f72f\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NextGenStats Athletic Score<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> among all draft-eligible wide receivers, with a score of 96. He is ranked behind <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2025\/03\/07\/christian_kirk_fantasy_football_outlook\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Christian Kirk<\/a>, Dontayvion Wicks, and Troy Franklin, while ranked ahead of Demario Douglas, Alec Pierce, and Tory Horton. He is being drafted at the end of the third round of rookie dynasty drafts, or he is going undrafted.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/fantasy\/dynasty\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Read More Dynasty Outlooks Including Pat Bryant and Jalen Royals<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<h3><b>TeSlaa Dynasty Outlook<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Lions chose TeSlaa because of talent and athleticism over production. However, there is not much room for opportunity in the Lions&#8217; offense. Amon-Ra St. Brown has<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/S\/StxxAm00.htm\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">three straight seasons of at least 140 targets and 105 receptions<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The coaching staff is high on Jameson Williams entering the 2025 season, and they picked up his club option for 2026. Tight end Sam LaPorta is a great tight end as well. Both Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery can catch the ball out of the backfield. I am not sure where the targets will be for TeSlaa.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since the Lions used three third-round picks to select TeSlaa, they need to prove that they made the right decision, so they will have to keep TeSlaa involved with the team. He is very talented but does not have the college production to prove it, and is in a crowded situation with the Lions. With all that being said, I am taking a chance on him in dynasty leagues. If he goes undrafted, I am willing to put a few FAAB on him to add him to my taxi squad and see if he works out. However, Seahawks <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2025\/05\/22\/tory-horton-dynasty-outlook\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">rookie Tory Horton is my top priority<\/a> and would pick\/add Horton over TeSlaa first.
