The wide receiver’s upside is incredibly intriguing after signing a one-year, $2.5 million contract with the Buffalo Bills, but there’s also downside risk since he’s not guaranteed a roster spot.

Interested fantasy managers should act now because the former New York Jets and Cleveland Browns wideout’s value will increase quickly with a strong training camp.

Elijah Moore Dynasty Outlook (2025 Fantasy Football)

Bills Star’s Current Production

Moore arrived in the NFL with a lot of hype. The Ole Miss product finished his college career on a high note, earning All-American and First Team All-SEC honors during his final season with the Rebels. The Jets selected him early in the second round of the 2021 draft.

Elijah Moore at Ole Miss was 🔥 #BillsMafia pic.twitter.com/WFNxIVb3kW

— SleeperBills (@SleeperBills) May 1, 2025

His production hasn’t matched the expectations, though. His modest 61 catches with the Browns last year represented a new career high. He’s also recorded just four touchdowns in 50 appearances across the past three seasons.

There could be a legitimate reason for the limited output, however: terrible quarterback play. Here’s a look at the combined passer rating for the quarterbacks throwing to Moore during his career:

2021 (Jets): 76.0

2022 (Jets): 75.0

2023 (Browns): 73.7

2024 (Browns): 71.4

Saying those numbers are terrible may be an understatement. Luckily for Moore, now he gets to work alongside perhaps the NFL’s best quarterback, reigning MVP Josh Allen. It’s an upgrade for monumental proportions.

So, if you’re buying stock in Moore expecting a breakout campaign, that’s the best argument in his favor.

Dec 22, 2024; Cincinnati, Ohio, USA; Cleveland Browns wide receiver Elijah Moore (8) catches a pass against the Cincinnati Bengals in the second half at Paycor Stadium. His value (1-9999 scale) stands at 2217, and, interestingly, didn’t even receive a minor bump after he signed with Buffalo.

Elijah Moore Dynasty Outlook After Bills Signing

Now that you’ve heard the things working in Moore’s favor—untapped potential, a massively improved quarterback situation, and the ability to acquire him cheaply in fantasy leagues—we must also examine the reason to proceed with caution: the Bills’ crowded receiver room.

The Bills have at least eight wideouts who will be fighting for a maximum of six (and possibly only five) spots on the final 53-man roster. Let’s check out how things likely stand ahead of camp:

Locks: Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman, Joshua Palmer

On The Bubble: Moore, Curtis Samuel, Laviska Shenault Jr., Tyrell Shavers, Kaden Prather

Long Shots: KJ Hamler, Jalen Virgil, Stephen Gosnell, Kelly Akharaiyi

Buffalo has two tight ends (Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox) who will also factor into the weekly target distribution.

As a result, Moore must not only win a roster spot, but he’d then find himself within the Bills’ preferred “everybody eats” scheme. This is not a situation where he’s going to regularly see double-digit targets, even if he earns a starting role with an outstanding preseason.

A breakdown of new #Bills WR Elijah Moore's success by route in 2021 with the Jets. Playing with Allen presents a breakthrough opportunity. The Bills’ roster depth will likely prevent him from skyrocketing too far up the WR rankings, though.

What To Do With Buffalo’s Wide Receiver in Dynasty Leagues

Moore feels like a good trade target in dynasty formats. Yes, managers must accept the risk. He may fail to make Buffalo’s roster and end up being a useless fantasy asset this season. Yet, he’s also one injury away from being a starter on one of the league’s best offenses.

His current KeepTradeCut ranking equates to a WR7 in 12-team leagues. He has the potential to outplay that placement by a wide margin. It wouldn’t be a total shock to see him finish inside the top 40 fantasy receivers.

In addition, the acquisition cost should be low. The worst-case scenario sees him get cut by the Bills and fail to find another team before Week 1. Even in that situation, the lack of investment cost makes him an easy first drop to pick up a camp standout.

What can Elijah Moore bring the Bills offense? Well I asked Sean McDermott #BillsMafia @WKBW pic.twitter.com/LCUxp8DlKj

— Matthew Bové (@Matt_Bove) May 1, 2025

So, fantasy managers should take advantage of the fact that Moore’s value didn’t change after signing with Buffalo. Trading for him before the start of camp will leave a lot of upside. It may even be possible to flip him in another deal if he’s having a good preseason.

All told, Moore may never become the fantasy stud some envisioned coming out of the 2021 draft, but that doesn’t mean he can’t carry solid value in the years ahead.

Main Image: Andrew Nelles / The Tennessean / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images

Elijah Moore’s dynasty outlook could shift significantly with the Buffalo Bills, which creates an opportunity for fantasy football managers.

[59,3
7705,33175,34307,7928,294
post-232811","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-fantasy","category-bills","tag-buffalo-bills-news","tag-dynasty-outlook","tag-dynasty-rankings","tag-elijah-moore","tag-fantasy-football
["GET
