Harris, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Ihartitz\/status\/1709245882527268952\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">dubbed the sub-3 Yards Per Carry king<\/a>, found his place in Pittsburgh to be unfit. He now signs with the Chargers to unlock some of his untapped potential, <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2025\/04\/25\/first-reactions-to-the-chargers-first-round-pick-in-the-2025-nfl-draft\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">even with Omarion Hampton in the room<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Chargers Stat Predictions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>230 Carries<\/li>\n<li>1,012 Yards (4.4 YPC)<\/li>\n<li>12 Catches, 105 Yards<\/li>\n<li>Most Efficient Season Under Jim Harbaugh<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>CB, Donte Jackson &#8211; Chargers Free Agent Perfect Fit<\/h3>\n<p>Continuing the theme of taking former Steelers, the Chargers upgraded at Corner, hoping to get the most out of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/J\/JackDo02.htm\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the former second-round pick, Donte Jackson<\/a>. The speedy CB has shown much promise in zone coverage and has been a borderline CB1 his entire career. Under Minter, he could very well fit in the zone coverage schemes he deploys.<\/p>\n<p>It should be noted that Minter was unable to utilize much man coverage last season due to personnel, but was a man coverage user during his Michigan days.<\/p>\n<p>Chargers Stat Predictions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>65 Tackles<\/li>\n<li>3 Interceptions<\/li>\n<li>15 Games<\/li>\n<li>3 TFLs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>TE, Tyler Conklin &#8211; Much Needed Chargers Free Agent Add<\/h3>\n<p>The Chargers were really fortunate to land <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/C\/ConkTy00.htm\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tyler Conklin<\/a> in free agency, as the options were drying up quickly, and possible trade candidates were not being moved. Now back with the Chargers, Williams looks to bounce back and become another reliable asset for Herbert and company.<\/p>\n<p>Chargers Stat Predictions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>40 Catches<\/li>\n<li>550 Yards<\/li>\n<li>7 Touchdowns<\/li>\n<li>13 Games, eventually allowing room for Tre Harris to start<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>C, Andre James &#8211; Much Needed Competition<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2025\/03\/20\/the-chargers-sign-andre-james-their-best-move-yet\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">When Andre James was initially signed, Chargers fans were ecstatic<\/a>, hoping he would replace the then newly re-signed Bradley Bozeman. Unfortunately, it does not seem that will happen as H<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/danielrpopper\/status\/1920930881230852475\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ead Coach Jim Harbaugh is constantly praising Bozeman<\/a> and his abilities. Either way, James will provide much-needed depth and competition, allowing for the best man to win.<\/p>\n<p>Chargers Stat Predictions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>7 Games Started, After Injury\/Performance Issues from the IOL<\/li>\n<li>Pass Blocking Aficionado<\/li>\n<li>Lackluster Run Blocking<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>EDGE, Da&#8217;Shawn Hand &#8211; Another Interior Presence<\/h3>\n<p>With Morgan Fox, Poona Ford, and <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2024\/09\/04\/los-angeles-chargers-defensive-lineman-named-starter-on-offense\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Scott Matlock likely moving his focus mainly to offense<\/a>, new blood was needed in the room. Furthermore, Da&#8217;Shawn Hand has been an underrated pickup for the Bolts, providing a specific body type that is unique and a fit for Minter&#8217;s defensive scheme.<\/p>\n<p>Chargers Stat Predictions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>30 Tackles<\/li>\n<li>15 Pressures<\/li>\n<li>3 Sacks<\/li>\n<li>5 TFLs<\/li>\n<li>2 Pass Deflections<\/li>\n<li>Allows <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2025\/01\/03\/chargers-fourth-round-selection-disappoints-in-rookie-season\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Justin Eboigbe<\/a> and Jamaree Caldwell to develop<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>IDL, Naquan Jones &#8211; Possible Breakout<\/h3>\n<p>Naquan Jones is <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2025\/04\/02\/chargers-key-free-agent-signing-set-to-play-pivotal-role-in-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">an exciting addition for the Chargers<\/a> as he is still young and developing, plus the promise he has shown in his previous stop in Arizona. If Jones can continue to develop under Minter, expecting a breakout for the pass-rushing nose tackle is not far-fetched.<\/p>\n<p>Chargers Stat Predictions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>25 Tackles<\/li>\n<li>15 Pressures<\/li>\n<li>4 Sacks<\/li>\n<li>3 TFLs<\/li>\n<li>1 Pass Deflection<\/li>\n<li>Earns another contract as a pass rush specialist<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>CB, Benjamin St-Juste &#8211; Strictly Depth&#8230; We Hope<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/blur_northside\/status\/1899938939768889578\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Benjamin St-Juste is a very controversial figure in Washington, DC<\/a>, as it seemed every fan was ready for him to leave. Now with the Chargers, St-Juste will provide size and depth for the Minter scheme, hopefully getting the most out of the former Commanders DB.<\/p>\n<p>Chargers Stat Predictions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>25 Tackles<\/li>\n<li>3 Pass Deflections<\/li>\n<li>1 Interception<\/li>\n<li>1 Sack<\/li>\n<li>3 Games Started<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>LB, Del&#8217;Shawn Phillips &#8211; Special Teams Ace<\/h3>\n<p>Del&#8217;Shawn Phillips essentially was traded for the Chargers&#8217; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/N\/NiemNi00.htm\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">former special-teams ace, Nick Niemann<\/a>. They will both provide depth at LB whilst adding plenty on special teams. The former Texans linebacker will look to add more veteran leadership to the special-teams room.<\/p>\n<p>Chargers Stat Predictions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>18 Tackles<\/li>\n<li>1 TFL<\/li>\n<li>90% Special Teams snaps<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>QB, Trey Lance &#8211; Practice Squad\/Trade Asset<\/h3>\n<p>Trey Lance was a confusing signing for the Chargers. <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2025\/04\/17\/why-did-the-chargers-sign-trey-lance-for-six-million-dollars\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">After delving deeper into the reasoning why he was signed by the Bolts<\/a>, a clearer picture was achieved. That picture painted an idea of a possible trade asset or a practice-squad mobile QB.<\/p>\n<p>Chargers Stat Predictions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If not traded, 8 games active on game day<\/li>\n<li>Mobile QB In Practice<\/li>\n<li>Preseason Standout?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>LB, Kanai Mauga &#8211; Depth LB<\/h3>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chargers.com\/news\/los-angeles-chargers-sign-kanai-mauga\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Chargers&#8217; latest signee is former Raiders LB Kanai Mauga<\/a>.
