Burden had a great 2023 in college, but he struggled in 2024. Now he joins a crowded but exciting Bears offense. In his sophomore year, he had 86 receptions for 1212 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. He had much fewer production in his junior year, only catching 61 passes for 676 receiving yards and six touchdowns. He added over 100 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns as well. Entering last season, he was the favorite to be the first wide receiver drafted in the 2025 NFL Draft, but a poor junior season caused him to fall to the second round. Mandatory Credit: Kamil Krzaczynski-Imagn Images<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h3><b>Burden Dynasty Price<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/keeptradecut.com\/dynasty-rankings\/players\/luther-burden-1770\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">KeepTradeCut<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a website that crowdsources dynasty values from players who use the site, Burden is the WR33. He was the WR33 before the NFL Draft, so his landing spot did not increase his ranking at all. Most of the rookie players saw their ranking skyrocket, but that was not the case for Burden. Fantasy managers are not in love with his landing spot. Players ranked ahead of Burden are Matthew Golden, D.J. Moore, and <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2025\/05\/07\/george-pickens-dynasty-outlook-following-cowboys-trade\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">George Pickens<\/a>, while players ranked below him are Brandon Aiyuk, Ricky Pearsall, and <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2025\/04\/12\/tyreek-hill-trade-rumors-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Tyreek Hill<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Burden is being drafted in the early second round of rookie dynasty drafts. Moore is signed through 2029<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to be the team\u2019s WR1. Rome Odunze, the first-round pick last season, has at least three more years on his contract. The Bears\u2019 first-round selection this year was tight end <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2025\/05\/02\/bears-colston-loveland-better-than-sam-laporta\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Colston Loveland<\/a>, who will be paired with Cole Kmet.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Bears did everything they could to build around second-year quarterback Caleb Williams. First, they brought in the offensive-minded head coach Ben Johnson, who was the former offensive coordinator for the Lions. Second, they revamped the offensive line, signing three new starters. Expect this offense to be much improved in 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/fantasy\/dynasty\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Read More Dynasty Outlooks, Including Tre Harris and Tyler Shough<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<h3><b>Should You Draft Luther Burden in Dynasty Leagues?<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No, I am avoiding Burden in rookie dynasty drafts this year. There is just not a clear path to many targets for Burden in a very competitive offense. Moore, Odunze, and Loveland are all locked into the team for a long time. The offense will want to spread the ball around, and Burden will not have enough targets to have a high ceiling. I would much rather draft players with a higher ceiling, such as Harris or Higgins, instead of Burden with that early second-round pick.
