Tight end Hunter Henry led the team in targets, receptions, and receiving yards. DeMario Douglas led the wide receivers with just 66 receptions and 621 yards. No pass catcher caught more than three touchdown passes. Rookie quarterback Drake Maye did not have a number one go-to guy whom he could trust. Other wide receivers on the team are Kayshon Boutte, Kendrick Bourne, Ja’Lynn Polk, and Javon Baker. None of these players is a serious threat.

The Patriots went out and revamped their wide receiver room. First, they signed 32-year-old Stefon Diggs to a three-year, $66.5 million contract. Diggs is coming off an ACL injury, so his production might be limited. The Pats also signed Mack Hollins, who had limited production in his time with the Bills.

This room is wide open for Williams to be at least the WR2 for Maye. Diggs should slot in as the WR1 if he is healthy, being the veteran presence for the young quarterback. However, Williams will eventually pass him once Diggs continues to age or if he can not rebound from his injury. Williams has a very encouraging dynasty outlook as he looks to build a strong connection with Maye for many years to come.

Read More Dynasty Outlook, Including Tre Harris and Jayden Higgins

May 9, 2025; Foxborough, MA, USA; New England Patriots wide receiver Kyle Williams (18) gets a break during rookie camp at Gillette Stadium.
