He had two solid seasons at Iowa State, going for<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cfb\/players\/jayden-higgins-1.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">53 receptions, 983 receiving yards, and six receiving touchdowns<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in 2023. In 2024, he improved on all these marks, catching 87 passes for 1183 yards and nine touchdowns. Iowa State had a great season before losing in the Big 12 Championship game. He was the WR67 before the NFL Draft, so fantasy managers really love Higgins&#8217; landing spot. Currently, he is right behind Ricky Pearsall, Mike Evans, and <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2025\/04\/12\/tyreek-hill-trade-rumors-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Tyreek Hill<\/a>, while ahead of <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2024\/12\/20\/jerry-jeudy-browns-wide-receiver-dynasty-outlook\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Jerry Jeudy<\/a>, Jayden Reed, and Chris Godwin. Higgins is going in the early second round of 2025 rookie dynasty drafts. In rookie drafts, the wide receivers being drafted ahead of Higgins are <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2025\/02\/11\/tetairoa-mcmillan-rookie-wide-receiver-dynasty-outlook\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Tetairoa McMillan<\/a>, Travis Hunter, Emeka Egbuka, and Matthew Golden. He is going in the same range as Luther Burden III, Tre Harris, and Kyle Williams.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2025\/04\/26\/fantasy-football-dynasty-rookie-rankings\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Read More: Dynasty Rookie Rankings<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<h3><b>Higgins Dynasty Outlook<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Texans revamped their wide receiver room after losing Stefon Diggs to the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/patriots\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Patriots<\/a> in free agency and with the concern that Tank Dell will miss most, if not all, of the 2025 season due to injuries. They drafted both Higgins and Noel and <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2025\/03\/07\/christian_kirk_fantasy_football_outlook\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">traded for Christian Kirk<\/a>. Nico Collins will still be the alpha wide receiver on the team, while the rest of the guys will be fighting for the WR2 role.<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pff.com\/nfl\/players\/jaylin-noel\/125155\/draft-profile\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Noel<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and Kirk play most of their snaps in the slot, while Higgins can work outside opposite of Collins.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Texans proved last season that they could support two fantasy wide receivers. Collins and Diggs only played in four full games together. Diggs\u2019 weekly finishes were WR9, WR44, WR15, and WR15. Collins\u2019 weekly finishes were WR13, WR4, WR37, and WR1. They each had three individual top-15 finishes, and in two of the four weeks, they were both top 15 wide receivers. Even in the week that Collins was the overall WR1, Diggs finished as the WR15. Stroud was at his best when he had both of these guys playing together. Stroud only had two top-ten weekly finishes last season, and both of them came within these first four weeks when both Collins and Diggs were healthy. He will be very productive in the Texans offense even with Collins as the alpha wide receiver on the team. If I had a late-first-round pick, I would rather trade back to the early-second round and take Higgins instead of taking Egbuka or Golden in the late first.
