It may not have been the fireworks show that 2024 was, but Cleveland added some talent in necessary places to help contribute in the coming years. With that, here are the Browns draft grades.

Cleveland Browns 2025 NFL Draft Grades

Round 1, Pick 5: Mason Graham, IDL, Michigan

The Browns traded out of the number two overall pick, and rather than taking Travis Hunter, they traded back and took a difference maker on the inside. Graham is a smidge undersized, but the haul received for number two was a good step forward for rebuilding.

Grade: A

Mason Graham Scouting Report

Round 2, Pick 33: Carson Schwesinger, LB, UCLA

The Browns are trying to build for the future. When looking at contract values, positional value, and recent draft preferences, inside linebacker isn’t maximizing value. But he’s a gosh darn good football player who can make an impact tomorrow.

Grade: B-

Carson Schwesinger Scouting Report

Round 2, Pick 36: Quinshon Judkins, RB, Ohio State

Low moving costs? Check. Position of need? Check. It’s the same discussion as Schwesinger, where the position just isn’t valued that much anymore. He can be a fun player for the organization for a while, but reaching on the third running back in a deep class wasn’t a great allocation of resources.

Grade: C

Quinshon Judkins Scouting Report

Round 3, Pick 67: Harold Fannin Jr., TE, Bowling Green

If David Njoku gets traded, this pick makes a lot more sense. For now, it’s a move tight end that won’t see the field often, and doesn’t offer much in the blocking department to make 12 personnel more likely.

Grade: C

Harold Fannin Jr. Scouting Report

Round 3, Pick 94: Dillon Gabriel, QB, Oregon

With Deshaun Watson, Kenny Pickett, and Joe Flacco as the only quarterback options, swinging on a signal caller makes sense. But an undersized guy with a lack of arm talent while Shedeur Sanders was still on the board was a head turner. Even Kyle McCord, Will Howard, or a more toolsy option would have made sense. Given what we know about the rest of the draft, this one is strange.

Grade: D

Dillon Gabriel Scouting Report

Round 4, Pick 126: Dylan Sampson, RB, Tennessee

Jerome Ford must have kicked a puppy or something. The Browns double-dip at running back, even with glaring holes all over the rest of the roster. It’s a fine value, with Sampson as one of the better running backs in the class, but for Browns draft grades, it shouldn’t have been a priority at this point in the draft.

Grade: C-

Dylan Sampson Scouting Report

Round 5, Pick 144: Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado

Did Jimmy Haslam step in? They already addressed the quarterback position, and now the entire media circus around Sanders is coming to Cleveland. With the team trying to move attention away from the Deshaun Watson ordeal, this is just going to put a bigger spotlight on the quarterbacks in Cleveland, and I’m not sure that should be the focus for the team.

Grade: A for the player, F for the impact

Sheduer Sanders Forecast

Overall Browns Draft Grades

The Browns walked into the draft with holes all over their roster. They walk out of it with holes all over their roster, except at running back and backup quarterback. If Sanders or Gabriel becomes the franchise quarterback, nothing else matters, and they get an A. But with that being an extremely unlikely outcome, they didn’t win a lot of hearts in this draft.

Main Photo Credit: Samantha Madar/Columbus Dispatch / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images

The Cleveland Browns double dipped at multiple positions, let’s take a look at each of their draft selections and give quick grades.

[8,36
33174,7744,33038,32871,32479,32477
post-230499","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-browns","category-nfl-news","tag-carson-schwesinger","tag-cleveland-browns-draft","tag-dylan-sampson","tag-mason-graham","tag-quinshon-judkins","tag-shedeur-sanders
["GET
