Week three is right around the corner and daily fantasy players (DFS<\/strong>) around the country are starting to prepare their lineups for DraftKings<\/strong>. Whether you are playing large tournaments, cash games or 50\/50 games it’s always good to find that edge that will put your lineup over the top. Here are your week three DraftKings<\/strong> targets.<\/p>\n

Week Three DraftKings Targets<\/h2>\n

Quarterback<\/h3>\n

Ryan Tannehill<\/a><\/strong> ($6,200)<\/strong>– Tannehill and the Miami Dolphins<\/strong> are off to a very rough 0-2 start. A last minute loss to the Seattle Seahawks<\/strong> week one and a horrendous first half in\u00a0New England last week leave Tannehill and the Dolphins<\/strong> in a must win situation. In come the Cleveland Browns<\/strong> and the 20th ranked pass defense<\/a>. After being lit up by Joe Flacco<\/a><\/strong> for 302 yards and two touchdowns last week, look for much of the same when Cleveland travels to Miami this week. The $6,200 salary for Tannehill will look like a steal when all is said and done.<\/p>\n

Marcus Mariota<\/a><\/strong> ($5,900)<\/strong>– Mariota and the Tennessee Titans<\/strong> return home to face an Oakland Raiders<\/strong> defense that has allowed 517 yards per game, 404 per game in the air. The second year quarterback is off to a nice start in 2016 with a 93.8 QB rating<\/a>. This game\u00a0will most likely be high scoring, so look for Mariota to outperform\u00a0his $5,900 salary.<\/p>\n

Running Back<\/h3>\n

Todd Gurley<\/a><\/strong> ($7,100)<\/strong>– Many DFS<\/strong> players are going to shy away from Gurley after two unimpressive performances to start the year. That is exactly what you want. Gurley is a must play this week. His salary of $7,100 is towards the top of the list for running backs this week, which should lead to low ownership percentage in DraftKings<\/strong> contests. This is a huge game for Gurley personally. The Rams<\/strong> get away from the pressures of the NFC West<\/strong> and face a Tampa Bay Buccaneers<\/strong> defense that yielded 143 total yards to David Johnson<\/a><\/strong> last week.\u00a0Gurley will bust out in a big way this week.<\/p>\n

Melvin Gordon<\/a><\/strong> ($5,800)<\/strong>– The injuries keep hitting the San Diego Chargers<\/strong> at an alarming rate. First Keenan Allen<\/a><\/strong> was lost with a torn ACL and now Danny Woodhead<\/a><\/strong> is out with the same injury. Melvin Gordon<\/a><\/strong> is off to an outstanding start in 2016<\/a>, averaging four yards per carry and three touchdowns. With Woodhead out, Gordon will be relied\u00a0on\u00a0even more in the Chargers<\/strong> offense. Gordon and the Chargers<\/strong> get a great matchup week three against the Indianapolis Colts<\/strong> who rank 32nd in DFS<\/strong> against the run. Many will jump on Gordon when playing DraftKings<\/strong>, but his production will be more than worth the reasonable $5,800 salary he brings week three.<\/p>\n

Wide Receiver<\/h2>\n

Jarvis Landry<\/a> ($6,600)<\/strong>– Here is the other half of your week three quarterback\/wide receiver stack. Jarvis Landry<\/a><\/strong> is quietly off to a fantastic start in 2016. Leading the league with 17 catches on 23 targets<\/a>, Landry has solidified himself as the number one offensive weapon for the Miami Dolphins<\/strong>. Averaging 19.3 fantasy points per game, Landry is at the top of the week three DraftKings<\/strong> targets.<\/p>\n

Phillip Dorsett<\/a> ($4,400)<\/strong>– Are you looking for the value play of the week? If so, here it is. With Donte Moncrief<\/a><\/strong> out for the next four-six weeks Phillip Dorsett<\/a><\/strong> becomes a vital part of the Indianapolis Colts<\/strong> offense. The Colts<\/strong> lead the league averaging 47 passing plays per game. Andrew Luck<\/a><\/strong> and the Colts<\/strong> are facing a must win, therefore they should be throwing the ball early and often. Dorsett’s speed\u00a0will instantly make him a deep threat resulting\u00a0in him outperforming his $4,400 salary.<\/p>\n

Tight End<\/h2>\n

Zach Miller<\/a> ($2,900)<\/strong>– Miller\u00a0and the Chicago Bears<\/strong> face a Dallas Cowboys<\/strong> defense that ranks 28th against opposing tight ends. Jay Cutler<\/a><\/strong> is injured, opening the door for Brian Hoyer<\/a><\/strong> to get another shot in the NFL. Miller has nine\u00a0targets through two games, meaning Hoyer will be leaning on the veteran tight end in\u00a0Dallas this week.<\/p>\n

Eric Ebron<\/a> ($3,700)<\/strong>– Ebron\u00a0has stepped up as a\u00a0primary target for quarterback Matthew Stafford<\/a><\/strong>. With Calvin Johnson<\/a><\/strong> retired, the Detroit Lions<\/strong> needed Ebron and others to evolve in the\u00a0offense. This season, Ebron has been targeted 12 times catching nine passes for 99 yards and a touchdown. As long as he is on the field Sunday, Ebron will be a great play\u00a0against the Green Bay Packers<\/strong>.\u00a0In back to back games to start the season the Packers<\/strong> have allowed touchdowns to opposing tight ends.<\/p>\n
