But they could also draft an offensive lineman like Missouri’s Armand Membou.

Instead of predicting what he thinks the Colts will do in the draft, Adam Rank of NFL.com put together a mock draft where he made his picks based on what teams should do. Rank thinks Indy should take Membou with the 14th overall pick:

“Go ahead and continue this mini run on offensive linemen, Colts, by selecting Membou to help protect Anthony Richardson (presuming he holds off Daniel Jones). Now, if one of the tight ends falls to this spot, that would be an automatic pick. I just don’t see it happening, in which case the safest move is to build up an offensive line that lost Ryan Kelly and helped contribute to a 37.2% pressure-allowed rate (ninth-highest in the NFL) last season.”

Selecting Membou wouldn’t be the worst decision. The Colts certainly need to address the offensive line at some point in the draft. We’ll see if such a move happens, though.

Missouri Offensive Lineman Armand Membou Listed as a Prospect the Indianapolis Colts Should Draft

His Career

Membou starred at Lee’s Summit North High School in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Rated as a four-star recruit, he received college offers from schools like Kansas State, Kansas, Oregon, Iowa State, Nebraska, and Missouri. Yet, he ultimately committed to Missouri.

In 2023, Membou started all 13 contests at right tackle. He played a huge role in the Tigers’ offensive line that was named a semifinalist for the Joe Moore Award. The award is given to the nation’s top offensive line. Membou also helped block for a Missouri offense that rushed for at least 200 yards on six different occasions.

Last season Membou helped the Tigers accumulate 2,138 rushing yards, 2,926 passing yards, and 26 rushing touchdowns. He earned a spot on the Second Team All-SEC. He also allowed only one sack over 12 games.

Would It Be Wrong To Draft Membou?

Perhaps most Colts fans want the team to take Tyler Warren in the first round. Tight end might be Indy’s biggest need, and the Penn State star is the position’s top prospect in the draft. Fellow tight end Colston Loveland would also be an ideal pick if Warren isn’t available.

However, it wouldn’t be wrong to draft Membou. Again, the Colts need offensive line help. The unit lost center Ryan Kelly and guard Will Fries earlier this offseason. Both free agents signed with the Minnesota Vikings. It’s unclear, though, whether Membou can switch from tackle to guard and replace Fries.

At 6-foot-4 and 332 pounds, Membou is a powerful presence who dominated weekly against SEC pass-rushers. He should develop into a great NFL offensive lineman as well. He’s an excellent athlete, is extremely quick, and possesses competitive toughness. Membou would be a solid addition to a Colts unit that includes guys like Quenton Nelson and Bernhard Raimann.

If both Warren and Loveland are off the board and the Colts don’t go the linebacker route, Membou would be an outstanding first-round pick.

Main Image: Eric Canha – USA Today Sports

An analyst thinks the Indianapolis Colts should select Missouri tackle Armand Membou in the first round of the draft.

[12,1647
32977,7800,8259
post-228949","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-colts","category-nfl-draft","tag-armand-membou","tag-indianapolis-colts-news","tag-will-fries
["GET
