Risner later added that other teams are pursuing him and specifically mentioned the Denver Broncos and Cincinnati Bengals as potential suitors.

On a TikTok live just now, Dalton Risner says Minnesota has shown interest in bringing him back, but “only to an extent.” Risner said he is in talks with “multiple teams”, and he imagines to be signed soon. Risner specifically mentioned the #Broncos, #Vikings and #Bengals.

🎥:… pic.twitter.com/KPoePpLYnS

— VikingzFanPage (@vikingzfanpage) April 16, 2025

Dalton Risner is no superstar, but the former second-round pick is a solid starter who would boost several units across the league. Last year, the veteran finished the season with a 68.1 PFF grade, the 22nd-best mark out of 77 eligible players. In addition to the teams mentioned above, Risner could be a fit with the New Orleans Saints and New England Patriots.

Dalton Risner Hints At Inevitable Signing With New Team

The Cincinnati Bengals have one of the league’s top passing attacks, but their offensive line needs some work. With Alex Cappa now on the Raiders, Cincinnati will have Lucas Patrick and Cordell Volson at the two guard positions. Patrick did an ok job in New Orleans last year, but Volson is an active liability. Cincinnati is in the midst of its Super Bowl window and must go after someone like Dalton Risner to maximize their chances of winning it all.

The Denver Broncos, meanwhile, are ahead of schedule in their rebuild. First-round pick Bo Nix had a strong rookie season, guiding the team to the playoffs before ultimately falling to the Buffalo Bills in the Wild Card round. While the season didn’t end the way they hoped, the future is bright for Sean Payton’s squad. Quinn Meinerz is an elite guard, but Ben Powers is nothing special. Dalton Risner might not be much of an upgrade here, but every little bit counts when you share a division with Patrick Mahomes and Justin Herbert.

Other Fits

The New England Patriots entered the offseason with the worst roster in football. Quarterback Drake Maye is the real deal, but the team is otherwise a complete mess. While Mike Vrabel’s squad improved the right tackle position with Morgan Moses, the left side of the offensive line needs some work. Perhaps former first-round pick Cole Strange can stay on the field in 2025, but he’s never been anything more than average and hasn’t consistently been on the field in over a year. Dalton Risner could bring some much-needed security to the position and allow Strange to move to center and compete with the recently signed Garrett Bradbury.

Whether it’s Derek Carr or a rookie, the New Orleans Saints must do something to protect their quarterback. Cesar Ruiz justified his contract extension with a solid season in 2024, but he can’t play both guard spots. Carr is one of the league’s worst passers against pressure, so New Orleans must improve the unit if he’s under center. If he’s not, it probably means someone like Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders is starting, and there’s no faster way to ruin a developmental prospect than by allowing him to be hit repeatedly.

Main Photo: Mark J.
