Trade rumors are starting to heat up ahead of the 2025 NFL draft, which gets underway April 24. The Buffalo Bills and New York Giants are among the latest teams linked to a possible blockbuster deal that could include a first-round pick.<\/p>\n
Joe Buscaglia<\/a> of The Athletic<\/em> reported Thursday that the Bills and Giants could be a situation to “keep an eye on.” Buscaglia noted New York’s need for a quarterback of the future makes the G-Men a potential trade partner if Buffalo looks to move back from the No. 30 overall selection.<\/p>\n “The close relationship between [Bills general manager Brandon] Beane and Giants GM Joe Schoen could come into the picture here,” Buscaglia wrote. Schoen worked as Beane’s assistant in Buffalo from 2017 through 2021.<\/p>\n A lot will likely depend on which defensive prospects\u2014most notably the cornerbacks and defensive tackles<\/a>\u2014are still available when the Bills are on the clock.<\/p>\n The Bills are in a tricky spot leading up to the draft. Michigan defensive tackle Kenneth Grant<\/a> is the best fit in the class<\/a>, but his stock has been climbing in recent weeks, and it’s looking unlikely he’ll still be available at No. 30. He went No. 16 to the Arizona Cardinals<\/a> in our Last Word on Sports<\/em> writers’ mock draft<\/a>.<\/p>\n If Grant isn’t available, the obvious route for Buffalo would be to take\u00a0a cornerback<\/a>. There are a lot of corners on the first-round fringe, though.
