A 12-team PPR Dynasty Superflex Startup League Mock Draft just took place among some of the LWOS staff. Starting mock drafts early in the season can give fantasy managers the edge that they need for their real startup draft. Here are five players who were the best value for their pick in our startup dynasty draft to be on the lookout for in your drafts.

Dynasty Value Picks in Startup Superflex Drafts

Bucky Irving – 4th Round

Bucky Irving is a 22-year-old running back who just had a fantastic rookie season. He finished as the RB13 in PPR leagues, which included getting off to a very slow start. In the final eight weeks of the year, he finished as a top-ten running back five times. He can do it both on the ground and in the air, as he had at least 40 receiving yards five times. He will enter next season as the clear lead back ahead of Rachaad White and Sean Tucker.

In this draft, he went in the fourth round, 38th overall. Although this is a Superflex league, he fell behind too many quarterbacks and wide receivers. A big run on quarterbacks happened right before Irving, with six of the previous seven picks being QBs. Instead of reaching for a quarterback, I would have rather gotten a steal in Irving and taken advantage of him falling. I do not want to chase a run on a position. It is better to gain value somewhere else instead. Irving has the potential to be a top-five fantasy running back over the next few seasons, and he should be drafted in the third round of a startup dynasty draft.

Tyler Warren – 6th Round

Tyler Warren is a projected top-ten draft pick later this month, and he went in the sixth round with the 65th overall pick. He was the fifth tight end off the board, going behind Brock Bowers, Trey McBride, Sam LaPorta, and T.J. Hockenson. Warren is a dynamic tight end who has the potential to repeat Bowers’ rookie season last year. Hockenson has a new quarterback, while LaPorta has a new offensive coordinator. I would be willing to take Warren as the third tight end off the board, and getting him in the sixth round is a steal and good value in dynasty startup drafts. This was a great pick by Drew Crabtree here.

Tyrone Tracy – 8th Round

Tyrone Tracy took the starting job in the Giants backfield over Devin Singletary. That job is still his entering 2025, as the Giants did not add one in free agency. This is a deep rookie running back class, but the Giants have many other holes to fill. Tracy will be a three-down back with an elite pass-catching upside, as he is a former wide receiver.

In this draft, he went at 8.10, behind other running backs, including Kaleb Johnson, Isiah Pacheco, David Montgomery, Joe Mixon, and Alvin Kamara. A lot of these guys are either aging or in a committee, while Tracy is just at the beginning of his career with limited career carries and has the job completely to himself. The eighth round is a great value for Tracy in dynasty start-up drafts.

Justin Fields – 10th Round

Justin Fields has had a rollercoaster start to his career. He has finished as a top-ten fantasy quarterback before but has struggled with injuries and has been traded and benched. Fields has one of the highest ceilings in fantasy due to his elite rushing upside. He had weekly finishes of QB19, QB24, QB12, QB1, QB16, and QB7 in six starts last year before being benched.

In this draft, he was the 26th quarterback drafted and went at 10.3. He is guaranteed to be the starter for the Jets next year and in good shape to start in 2026. He should easily finish better than that mark in both years. Fields was the fourth quarterback drafted to this team, so it is a low-risk, high-reward pick, but it is a steal of a pick.

Honorable mention for Anthony Richardson, who was drafted two picks before Fields. If Richardson starts every game for the Colts next year, this will be a steal of a pick for Mike Kashuba.

Jaylen Warren – 12th Round

Jaylen Warren has been a career backup to Najee Harris on the Steelers in the past three years, but Harris left in free agency to join the Chargers. At the moment, Warren is the starting running back for the Steelers. Although they are likely to draft a running back in the 2025 NFL Draft, Warren should enter next season as the main guy in the backfield. He is also a great pass-catcher, which will increase his fantasy production.

Warren was taken at 12.10 in this draft, which is great value for a starting running back. He went behind Devin Neal, Tank Bigsby, J.K. Dobbins, and Tyjae Spears. Neal and Dobbins are not even on a team right now, while Bigsby and Spears are in committees at best. Warren has a higher ceiling than any of those guys, making him a value in dynasty drafts.

Main Photo: [Sam Greene] – USA Today Sports

It is mock draft season, which includes dynasty fantasy drafts.
