He mauls his way into defenders in the running game by initiating contact. He has large, strong hands that grip defenders on contact and control blocks on his target. Ratledge <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">possesses the quickness<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> to get to the second level and has the football I.Q. to pick up twists and stunts on the defensive line. He tends to play with his pad level too high, and his lack of ideal length affects his punching ability, making him susceptible to counterattacks in pass protection.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Ratledge who came to Georgia as a four-star recruit by <a  href=\"https:\/\/247sports.com\/Player\/Tate-Ratledge-94238\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">247Sports<\/a>, Rivals, and only played in two games in his first two seasons due to a foot injury in the opening drive of Georgia\u2019s 2021 National championship season. He started all 14 games as Georgia defended its national title and was a Second Team Associated Press All-American in 2023, and a Third-Team AP All-American in 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Ratledge was ranked the No.69 prospect by Eric Edholm in his Top 100 rankings in his 2025 NFL Draft rankings.
