While Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty is in a class of his own, Hampton would be the best running back in most draft classes. Measuring in at 6′-0″ and 221 pounds, the Junior checks off just about every box you could want in a running back prospect. Capable of taking a high workload and running with a fierce passion matched by few others, Hampton should contribute from Day 1 and will be a first-round pick in fantasy mock drafts regardless of which team selects him.

Talent sets the floor in fantasy football, but dynasty owners know that the right landing spot can turn a good prospect into a great one. While anything can happen on draft day, most analysts across the league believe Omarion Hampton will be a mid- to late-first-round pick. With this in mind, let’s look at the teams picking in that area and determine which ones could bring out the best in the UNC product.

Top 5 Fantasy Football Landing Spots For Omarion Hampton, Ranked

5. Minnesota Vikings

The fact the Minnesota Vikings are fifth on this list goes to show there isn’t a truly bad landing spot for Omarion Hampton in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Vikings have a talented offense, invested heavily in the offensive line, and have stable coaching. However, the presence of veteran running back Aaron Jones and the uncertainty surrounding second-year quarterback J.J. McCarthy puts them at the bottom of this list. While Jones won’t be a long-term fixture in this backfield, McCarthy’s uncertainty could limit the overall ceiling for Hampton this team.

4. Kansas City Chiefs

Chances are, Omarion Hampton will not fall to the 31st pick in the NFL Draft. However, stranger things have happened, and he’d be a perfect fit for Andy Reid’s offense. While their last first-round running back didn’t pan out, Hampton is a considerably better player than Clyde Edwards-Helaire and has the build to handle a three-down workload. Perhaps Isiah Pacheco will keep the starting job in the short term, but Hampton runs just as hard, has better vision, and can do more as a receiver. If he lands here, it will only be a matter of time before Hampton is a three-down starter on one of the game’s most dangerous offenses.

3. Los Angeles Chargers

Nobody believes in the power of the run game more than Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh. After bolstering the offensive line in free agency, the head coach signed former first-round pick Najee Harris to a one-year deal. While Harris could limit Hampton’s ceiling in the short term, the long-term potential here is too good to ignore. Harbaugh and quarterback Justin Herbert aren’t going anywhere, and the offensive line has the talent to be a top-five unit. This supporting cast combined with Hampton’s natural talent could make him a league-winning force in 2026, although he admittedly might be nothing more than a flex play in 2025.

2. Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers are not the most exciting offense in the league by any stretch of the imagination, but they are a near-perfect fit for Omarion Hampton in the 2025 NFL Draft. With Najee Harris gone, Hampton should be the Day 1 starter for a team that historically prefers to give their starting running back a full workload. Harris received at least 280 touches in all of his four seasons with Pittsburgh, including a career-high 381 as a rookie. With Aaron Rodgers (presumably) set to take over under center, Pittsburgh’s offense should have more scoring opportunities, and Hampton should be more efficient than Harris on a per-touch basis.

1. Denver Broncos

During his time with the New Orleans Saints, Sean Patyon’s starting running back was almost always a top-10 option in fantasy football. That magic hasn’t transferred to Denver, but that probably has more to do with the underwhelming options currently on the Broncos roster. Javonte Williams never recaptured his pre-injury form, and Jaleel McLaughlin and Audric Estime are role players. Omarion Hampton is a true starter who could be paired with a running back-friendly head coach in Payton and a quarterback in Bo Nix who won’t hesitate to hit his checkdowns. Throw in PFF’s second-best offensive line and you have a formula for league-winning force in fantasy football.

UNC’s Omarion Hampton is one of the top running backs in the 2025 NFL Draft and could be a league-winning force on the right team.

[1647,15
32094,7642,7811,349,7426,32976
post-225241","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-nfl-draft","category-broncos","tag-bo-nix","tag-chargers-featured","tag-chiefs-featured","tag-fantasy-football-rankings","tag-najee-harris","tag-omarion-hampton
["GET
