Isaac TeSlaa began his collegiate career on special teams, working into the starting rotation in the back half of his freshman year. His total of 93 receiving yards in three 2020 games was massively increased in 2021, barely missing the 700-yard mark and scoring seven times on 45 catches.

TeSlaa again broke out in 2022, which was his last season with Hillsdale. He amassed over 1,300 yards with 13 scores, reeling in 68 passes. He entered the transfer portal after the season, ending up at Arkansas. His first Razorback season saw him starting every game, picking up 351 yards and two touchdowns on 34 catches. They’re strong in all directions and levels of the field and he has rarely dropped a pass, including zero drops in 2024. His 6’4”, over 200 lbs build also forces defenders to account for a plethora of different setups and moves. He has deceptive speed, running a 4.43-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine and showing abilities to be a vertical threat in smaller bunches. He times high-pointed passes well and uses his hands to reel in throws through contact at the catch point.

TeSlaa flips his hips and head well to make himself available for the QB on quick hitters. His transitions through the catch are seamless and he swiftly moves his body through contact to fight for extra yards. He has fantastic body awareness at the catch point, especially on the boundary. He’s a solid red zone threat, using his physicality well to pick apart coverages and back down DBs. His frame lets him be a solid blocker, ripping through defenders and forcing them out of plays.

Weaknesses/Cons:

The Arkansas offensive scheme didn’t do him any favors, but he does have some pretty glaring issues. TeSlaa’s stop-and-go lateral footwork is rough and he gets very choppy when attempting to do so. He’s very indecisive-looking through his releases on more downfield routes, rarely flashing top-end compact quickness to create separation. His short route cuts are another major point of negative emphasis in his game.

He doesn’t work through the top of routes sharply, especially when working toward the outside. TeSlaa doesn’t accelerate quickly through his cuts, significantly limiting his ability to create cross-field separation. His route tree is very undefined whether that be his problem or the Razorbacks’, taking far too much time to get out of his stems. He relies heavily on timing and spacing rather than working openly against man coverage, often struggling to work off of physical corners.

Potential Team Fits:

New England Patriots

Denver Broncos

Dallas Cowboys

NFL Projection:

It’s difficult to project how TeSlaa will perform at the next level, especially when strictly looking at his tape. The athleticism numbers he displayed at the NFL Combine were eye-popping, but much of that doesn’t show itself on tape. His hands are undeniably elite and he can flash some impressive movement skills, but there are too many consistent issues for him to be a top prospect. A “safety valve” label would suffice for his immediate next-level projection, making him easily worthy of a Day 3 selection, and it will be interesting to see how teams attempt to tap into his athletic testing potential.

Prospect Grade:

Late 5th Round to Early 6th Round

Film Exposures:

2024 vs. Texas Tech

2024 vs. Texas A&M

2024 vs. Ole Miss

Main Image: Petre Thomas – USA Today Sports

Overview And Film Analysis Of 2025 NFL Draft Prospect And Arkansas wide receiver Isaac TeSlaa, A Recent Combine Draft Riser.

[1647
32605,33396,33257,33365,27083
post-223536","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-nfl-draft","tag-2025-nfl-draft","tag-arkansas-football","tag-arkansas-razorbacks","tag-isaac-teslaa","tag-scouting-report
["GET
