The Buffalo Bills rewarded his continued ascent with a six-year, $330 million <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spotrac.com\/nfl\/player\/_\/id\/25102\/josh-allen\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">contract extension<\/a>. So, as crazy as the question may sound, is now the time to put Allen on the trade block in dynasty fantasy football leagues?<\/p>\n<h2>Josh Allen Dynasty Outlook (2025 Fantasy Football)<\/h2>\n<h3>Bills Superstar&#8217;s Current Production<\/h3>\n<p>No player can match Allen&#8217;s combination of high-end production and consistency. He&#8217;s recorded at least 40 total touchdowns in five straight seasons, which is an NFL record, and his 117 straight starts is the longest active streak among quarterbacks.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a look at his overall numbers from 2024:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Passing: 63.6 percent completion rate, 3,731 yards, 28 touchdowns and 6 interceptions<\/li>\n<li>Rushing: 102 carries for 531 yards and 12 touchdowns<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Translated to fantasy numbers, Allen ranked second among players in total points (385) behind only the Baltimore Ravens&#8217; Lamar Jackson in standard leagues, per <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fantasypros.com\/nfl\/reports\/leaders\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">FantasyPros<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">EVERY. The 28-year-old California native has established himself as an elite quarterback in both the real and fantasy worlds. You had to pay a premium to get him if you&#8217;ve drafted your dynasty league at any point since 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The question is whether a dual-threat quarterback will be able to maintain that high level of play. He&#8217;s coming off a campaign where he battled various injuries, including a wrist injury suffered during the team&#8217;s playoff loss to the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/bills\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Kansas City Chiefs<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Get away, let the body heal,&#8221; Allen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buffalobills.com\/news\/josh-allen-reflects-on-the-2024-season-and-looks-ahead-to-what-s-next\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">told reporters<\/a> at season&#8217;s end. &#8220;Got bumps and bruises from last night, took a few shots. Just trying to make sure that my body&#8217;s in as good as condition as it can be given maybe a week or two and just kind of getting back to work.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The three-time Pro Bowler takes far more hits than the average signal-caller, and those tend to take a cumulative tool over the years.<\/p>\n<h3>Josh Allen Dynasty Price<\/h3>\n<p>Allen is the No. 1 quarterback and the No. 11 overall player in dynasty leagues, according to the ranking website <a href=\"https:\/\/keeptradecut.com\/dynasty-rankings\/players\/josh-allen-365\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">KeepTradeCut<\/a>. His value score is 7914\u2014<a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/vikings\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Minnesota Vikings<\/a> wide receiver <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2024\/12\/23\/fantasy-football-top-10-dynasty-wide-receivers-entering-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Justin Jefferson<\/a> paces the metric at 9999\u2014and he&#8217;s 400 points above the next quarterback, <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2025\/01\/17\/jayden-daniels-commanders-quarterback-dynasty-outlook\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Jayden Daniels<\/a> of the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/washington-commanders\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Washington Commanders<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Josh Allen Dynasty Outlook After MVP Season<\/h3>\n<p>Allen is going to remain a top-tier quarterback for the next handful of years. Yes, the Bills have successfully coached some of that out of him in recent years, but he&#8217;s always going to want the ball in his hands in close games, even if that means taking extra hits.<\/p>\n<p>All of the damage he&#8217;s taken over his first seven NFL seasons is going to catch up with him eventually. He&#8217;s not a pure pocket passer like Tom Brady, who remained productive into his 40s. He&#8217;d be wise to start adapting his style of play more in that direction if he does want to play for another decade-plus, though.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Bills have been adamant about building a more balanced offense. It&#8217;s an effort buoyed by the strong play of running back <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2025\/02\/13\/bills-news-buffalo-james-cook-asking-price-2025-nfl-contract-talks\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">James Cook<\/a> in recent years. Check out Allen&#8217;s passing attempts by season since throwing the ball a career-high number of times in 2021:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2021: 646<\/li>\n<li>2022: 567<\/li>\n<li>2023: 579<\/li>\n<li>2024: 483<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Those numbers are not trending in the right direction from a fantasy perspective. Allen&#8217;s legs have allowed him to remain valuable, but there are reasons for concern buried beneath the surface.<\/p>\n<h3>What To Do With Bills Quarterback in Dynasty Leagues<\/h3>\n<p>This is the perfect offseason to see if anyone is willing to overpay for Allen in a trade. That doesn&#8217;t mean you absolutely have to move him. At worst, you keep a quarterback who should once again be the top scorers in fantasy football in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Yet, considering positional scarcity and Allen&#8217;s injury-filled 2024, now&#8217;s the time to see whether he could be flipped for a couple of young wide receivers. Or perhaps you could package Allen and a wide receiver to land someone like the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/giants\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">New York Giants<\/a>&#8216; <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2025\/02\/13\/malik-nabers-giants-wide-receiver-dynasty-outlook\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Malik Nabers<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Fantasy football is all about selling high and buying low. That&#8217;s the only path to sustained, long-term success. Move superstars before their decline arrives.<\/p>\n<p>Allen will probably never have more trade value than he does right now. In turn, dynasty managers are doing themselves a disservice if they aren&#8217;t at least considering offers.
