Greg Robinson hasn’t been a good NFL player yet, but he has started 42 games at the position, and that experience is more important than anything right now.

In 2012, the Washington Redskins sent three first round picks and a second round selection to the St. Louis Rams in exchange for the second pick of the draft and the ability to select quarterback Robert Griffin III. Now in Los Angeles, the Rams didn’t use the picks as well as they could’ve but they did bring in good players. Linebacker Alec Ogletree and defensive tackle Michael Brockers have been the two best selections and done their jobs well in the NFL. Cornerback Janoris Jenkins was another member of this draft haul but signed with the New York Giants before the start of last season.

In 2014, Greg Robinson became the last pick of the trade with the Redskins at the number two pick. He hasn’t played well at all for his career, and regarded as one of the worst picks of that draft year. However, the Detroit Lions have a strong team offensively and one of the best offensive lines in the NFC. This job will not be as difficult as it was with the Rams. A change of scenery might not necessarily make Robinson more talented of a player, but the Lions are a better team that need Robinson to show some competitive spirit and start playing the best football of his career.

Embed from Getty Images

Starting left tackle Taylor Decker’s injury forced the Detroit Lions to find a temporary replacement as they prepare for a season with higher expectations.

[24,34,36
2021,545,43,61,2603,1169,192,808,40,2548
post-22115","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-lions","category-rams","category-nfl-news","tag-2014-nfl-draft","tag-alec-ogletree","tag-detroit-lions","tag-football","tag-greg-robinson","tag-janoris-jenkins","tag-los-angeles-rams","tag-michael-brockers","tag-nfl","tag-taylor-decker
["GET
