With many key players for the Chiefs hitting free agency and the recent trade of All-Pro guard Joe Thuney, this year’s draft is crucial for the Chiefs. This three-round mock draft explores how the Chiefs could upgrade their roster this offseason.

Kansas City Chiefs Three-Round Mock Draft

Round 1, Pick 31: OT Josh Conerly Jr., Oregon

The offensive line was the biggest factor in the Chiefs failure to win the Super Bowl. Patrick Mahomes was sacked six times in the Super Bowl and faced constant pressure throughout the game. Even outside of the Super Bowl, the Chiefs dealt with issues at offensive tackle throughout the entire regular season.

Conerly would be an instant upgrade at the position. He is an athletic tackle who moves well and has great footwork. Pass protection is where he shines the brightest, and he can hold his own against the most athletic pass rushers. While he is still a developing player who could benefit from getting stronger and becoming more consistent as a run blocker, he has the ability to be an adequate day-one starter with the potential to develop into an even more impactful player.

Round 2, Pick 63: IDL, Alfred Collins, Texas

Chris Jones is still one of the most dominant defensive linemen in the league. However, the Chiefs still need to upgrade the talent surrounding him on the defensive line, especially on the interior defensive line, with both Tershawn Wharton and Mike Pennel hitting free agency this offseason.

Standing at 6’6” and 332 pounds, Collins is a dominant run defender with great length and strength at the point of attack. He would pair well with Jones on the defensive line. While Collins still needs to improve as a pass rusher, his run defense abilities would positively impact the defense.

Round 3, Pick 66: OL Wyatt Milum, West Virginia

After trading Thuney to the Bears, the Chiefs will need to address the offensive line with multiple moves this offseason.

Milum started four years as a tackle at West Virginia but could move inside to play guard in the NFL. Milum would give the Chiefs an experienced player who has the versatility to play anywhere on the offensive line. He has a high football IQ and plays with a relentless motor. Milum is a strong run blocker with the ability to be a reliable starter at guard right away.

Round 3, Pick 95: TE Terrance Ferguson, Oregon

Travis Kelce announced that he will return for another season in 2025, but he is nearing retirement. Noah Gray has already shown significant promise as Kelce’s successor, but the Chiefs may look to add another quality tight end to the team.

Ferguson had an impressive combine, running a 4.63 40-yard dash time and recording a 9.81 relative athletic score. Ferguson is a versatile tight end and a reliable pass catcher who was a key part of Oregon’s offense last season. He has reliable hands and is a good runner after the catch. While Ferguson is not quite there as a blocker yet, he is a willing blocker. Ferguson would add to an already great tight end group next season. He would also help secure the future at the position once Kelce is gone, forming a solid tight end duo of Gray and Ferguson.

Main Photo: Kirby Lee – Imagn Images

This Kansas City Chiefs Mock Draft addresses how the Chiefs could upgrade their roster by addressing key areas of need in the 2025 NFL Draft.

[1647,16
32605,33239,7811,33234
post-220940","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-nfl-draft","category-chiefs","tag-2025-nfl-draft","tag-alfred-collins","tag-chiefs-featured","tag-josh-conerly-jr
["GET
