The <\/span>2025 NFL Combine<\/span><\/a>\u2019s third day began with the running back group showing their skills, and a few players ended the day as standouts among the notably deep class.<\/span><\/p>\n

NFL Draft Running Back Prospects Who Played Their Way Into Becoming Standouts At The 2025 NFL Combine In Indianapolis.<\/b><\/h2>\n

Bhayshul Tuten, Virginia Tech<\/b><\/h3>\n

Outside of the two hometown Buckeyes, Tuten easily had the biggest crowd reaction to his 40-yard dash. Mainly known as a power back, the 5\u20199\u201d 206 206-pound back sprinted to a position-best 4.32 second time. He was near the top for all testing areas, with a 40.5\u201d vertical jump and 10\u201910\u201d broad jump. His drill work looked smooth as well, putting together an overall fantastic day in Indianapolis. He\u2019s slowly started to gain legit draft hype, and his standout combine performance could push him into the upper echelon of running back prospects.<\/span><\/p>\n

Omarion Hampton, North Carolina<\/b><\/h3>\n

Hampton has been pushing for the first round in the pre-draft process, and the combine was another major step toward that. At 221 pounds, he showed scouts he had every skill necessary to become a great NFL back. He finished the day with a 9.93 <\/span>Relative Athletic Score<\/span><\/a>, 14th out of 1909 RBs since 1987. The highlight of his performance was his 4.47 40-yard dash, and he equally shined in explosive testing with a 38\u201d vertical and 10\u201910\u201d broad jump.<\/span><\/p>\n

Omarion Hampton Scouting Report<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Quinshon Judkins, Ohio State<\/b><\/h3>\n

Judkins is a prospect some people have seemingly overthought and undervalued, especially when compared to his more explosive teammate TreVeyon Henderson. He almost caught Henderson in the 40-yard dash and beat him with a 9.88 RAS over TreVeyon\u2019s 9.45. He measured in at 6\u20190\u201d and 221 pounds and flew to a 4.48 second 40, in the company of some much lighter backs. The explosive testing was his biggest moment of the day, jumping 11 feet in the broad and 38.5\u201d vertically.<\/span><\/p>\n

Quinshon Judkins Scouting Report<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

DJ Giddens, Kansas State<\/b><\/h3>\n

One of the most athletic running backs at the combine, Giddens\u2019s testing made him an easy standout. He finished with the second-highest RAS out of the backs and impressed massively. His 39.5\u201d vertical jump and 10\u201910\u201d broad jump were both second-best, and his blazing 4.43 second 40-yard dash was 6th. His shiftiness and quick-hitter skills were on display in the drills too, flashing every time he stepped up and touched the ball.<\/span><\/p>\n

Brashard Smith, SMU<\/b><\/h3>\n

Smith\u2019s past at WR came out in the best way on Saturday, finishing with the fastest acceleration after five yards out of any back in the 40-yard dash. His 4.39 second time was third among RBs, same with his top speed of 23.27 mph. His work in the drills matched how he looked on tape too, flying through compact movements and looking comfortable doing it. He needed to continue to show improvement as a true RB, and he did just that to finish as a combine standout.<\/span><\/p>\n
