The <\/span>2025 NFL Combine<\/span><\/a> continued to roll on through Friday afternoon with the cornerbacks taking the field, and here are a few standouts from their portion.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cornerback Standouts At The 2025 NFL Combine<\/b><\/h2>\n

Maxwell Hairston, Kentucky<\/b><\/h3>\n

Hairston\u2019s official 40-yard dash time of 4.28 seconds led all cornerbacks at the combine, almost guaranteeing his place among the standouts. Beyond that, every aspect of his testing and drill performance was exactly what it needed to be. His 1.49-second 10-yard split was graded elite by itself, and he only got faster, hitting 24.25 mph. He jumped 39.5\u201d in the vertical and 10\u201909\u201d in the broad, enough for a 9.68 <\/span>Relative Athletic Score<\/span><\/a>. It was more of the same in drills, with fantastic twitch and smoothly cutting on a dime.<\/span><\/p>\n

Robert Longerbeam, Rutgers<\/b><\/h3>\n

Longerbeam\u2019s tape screams high-level cornerback when he operates in space, and he was easily one of the best-looking players in the drills. His movements looked calculated and precise, with just a general sense of advanced feel in his full reps. The cherry on top for the Rutgers product was a surprisingly fast 4.39 40-yard dash. His size is still an issue for an outside corner, and he has some physicality concerns, but after his combine performance, his athletic abilities cannot be questioned. He jumped over 11 feet in the broad and over 36 inches in the vertical, rounding out a terrific performance.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jacob Parrish, Kansas State<\/b><\/h3>\n

Parrish\u2019s small stature almost definitively limits him to the slot, but that doesn\u2019t take away from how good of a player he is. He silenced any long speed concerns with an incredible 4.35 40-yard dash time and ending with the 2nd fastest speed when crossing the finish line. He jumped out of the building for his size, too, with a 37.5\u201d vertical and 10\u201909\u201d broad jump. His 9.27 RAS wildly overcame a poor size grade and solidified himself as a cornerback combine standout.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jacob Parrish Scouting Report<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Darien Porter, Iowa State<\/b><\/h3>\n

A 9.99 RAS for Porter pretty much tells the story of how his day went. He has a downright scary blend of size and athleticism, barely under 6\u20193\u201d and weighing in at 195 pounds. His 36.5\u201d vertical jump was his only non-elite measurement, and he shined with a 10\u201911\u201d broad jump and 4.30 second 40-yard dash. He showed more of that high athletic ceiling in the drills, looking as comfortable as anyone in the long speed portions and seemingly much more fluid in his compact movements than he has in the past.<\/span><\/p>\n

Darien Porter Scouting Report<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Caleb Ransaw, Tulane<\/b><\/h3>\n

Ransaw ticked off all the boxes regarding his frame and physical profile. He finished in the top five in the 40-yard dash, vertical, and broad jump. His 40 time clocked in at a blazing 4.33, hit the 40\u201d mark with his vertical, and broad jumped a 10\u20199\u201d. He just missed hitting the 23 mph mark with 22.98 and continued to flash that athletic profile in the drill portion of the day. His 9.96 RAS finished 10th out of 2480 CBs since 1987, and he looked every part of an exciting prospect for teams to develop.<\/span><\/p>\n
