He took every carry he received and made the most of it in a split backfield. Irving was a sleeper heading into the 2024 season, but his stock is certainly rising with his dynasty outlook.

Bucky Irving: Buccaneers Running Back Dynasty Outlook

Current Performance

Irving received 207 carries in 2024 and recorded 1,122 yards and eight touchdowns. He averaged 5.4 yards per carry for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers even with Rachaad White getting at least 50% of the touches. Irving’s vision and acceleration made him standout in Liam Coen’s offense.

While he is primarily a runner, Irving can catch out of the backfield as well. He caught 47 passes in 2024 on 52 targets for 392 yards. His catch rate was 90% in 2024, a number that shows just how reliable he is on the field. Just think about how good he could be as the feature back.

In fantasy, Irving totaled 183 fantasy points (11.4 per game) in standard leagues and finished as the RB17. He finished ahead of Jets star running back Breece Hall and free agent Najee Harris. In PPR, Irving jumped to the RB15 with a total of 228 fantasy points and an average of 14.3 per game. For PPR leagues, he scored 10+ points in 12 of 17 weeks.

Bucky Irving Dynasty Price

KeepTradeCut lists Irving as the RB7 for dynasty rankings and the 37th player overall. Seeing Irving that high is a bit unexpected as he’s ahead of Jonathan Taylor and Kyren Williams. However, with White’s alleged legal situation, Irving’s stock might be rising even more in the coming weeks.

Fantasycalc provides a list of all trades involving Irving, and you’ll be lucky to get him for a second rounder. Most deals for Irving involved coughing up a first-round pick. If you’re looking to give up players instead of draft capital, you’re looking at players similar to Ladd McConkey or Alvin Kamara.

Young running backs are a premium in dynasty leagues, and Irving’s price is far from cheap.

Bucky Irving’s 2025 Projections

As mentioned above, White’s legal situation is still in the very early stages. In a week’s time, the whole story could be water under the bridge. Since nothing has been mentioned about a possible suspension, we’re approaching this as if he will be available for all 17 fantasy-relevant games in 2025.

Irving and White will likely split touches once again in 2025. It worked for the Buccaneers last season, and changing up the situation won’t do them any good. It’s not what fantasy managers want to hear who are all in on Irving, but they should each get about 48% of the carries with the final 4% going to Sean Tucker. Irving should easily surpass 1,000 rushing yards in 2025 and continue to be a high-end RB2 for all fantasy leagues.

What to do With Bucky Irving in Dynasty Leagues

Some may think this is the time to sell-high on Irving after a strong rookie season. However, it’s best to keep him for a few reasons. Josh Grizzard, the new offensive coordinator, was the passing coordinator under Coen. The offense in Tampa Bay will be very similar, if not identical, to what it was last season. Irving will still get a strong dose of touches as a runner and pass catcher.

White is also going into the last year of his rookie deal. No extension talks have started yet, so there’s a chance Irving could be the lead back in 2026. It may be frustrating to wait a year before Irving is fully unleashed, but he has the upside to make it well worth the wait.

Main Photo Courtesy of Nathan Ray Seebeck – Imagn Images

Bucky Irving had a strong rookie campaign in Tampa Bay, and he has a lot upside in his dynasty outlook going into 2025.

[32631,59
32307,33175,308
post-219734","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-dynasty","category-fantasy","tag-bucky-irving","tag-dynasty-outlook","tag-tampa-bay-buccaneers
["GET
